My Whirlpool side y side refrigerator purchased last year august is not dispensin water but making ice. I have replaced the filter but still not dispensing water.

There iis a switch on the door dispenser that operates when you slip your glas up for cold water and in doing this you should hear a click from the solinoid when this part of operation takes place
if no noise then probable the solinoid is faulty
if there is a noise then disconnect pipe going up inside of door which in toe kick area try pushinhing on switch to operate if no water comes out remove filter and try again, water should come out where the filter is situated
if no go replace water valve
