My hp scan jet 5470 c suddenly is scanninig in a green color background only and also is inaccurate picture
I solved my problem by simple re-boot. Unplug scanner power and USB for several seconds then replug. This solves a large percent of such problems. I wasted a lot of time before I did this. mike123456

I have the same problem but my background is blue
I'm scanning about 11,000 35 mm slides (made since 1966; 8000 scanned so far). Everything worked great through early 2006 (last scanning event). When I resumed the next batch (Jan 2008) the color was very green and resolution was low. Normal settings, etc. didn't help. Same computer; no changes in HW or OS. Failing any new ideas, I'll reinstall the SW. Ideas?
I work in a school and we have multiple scanners doing this: blue-green coloration to all scanned images.
Preview scan is greenish blue and text or picture is "pixelated", blocky looking. Final scan is the same.
I have the same problem. It doesn't occur every time and sometimes the blue-green background is in the form of wide horizontal bars. I have re-installed the software and have tried unplugging the power and the USB but this did not solve the problem.
