Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
We recently acquired a hp pavilion dv9005us notebook from someone. We are pretty savvy around computers so we decided to take it and fix it.
Everything works fine and we even opened the notebook to look if everything was wired right but everything seemed fine. The notebook has no sound and after reinstalling drivers and running recommended audio tests that the hp support site had we still don't have sound. I am determined to get this puppy working. The Quickplay panel which is touch sensitive is lighted but won't work, and the volume control part is not lighted but the mute button is lighted. We tried taking the mute part off, and in the system made sure that no audio control was muted. Can you please help us?
You may want to check to see if the speaker wire is connected to the audio board. You'll need to remove the Keyboard, palm rest, etc. It should be located toward the front of the LT.
