Hello
is the Vivitar Electronic Flash 2000 compatible with a digital canon rebel Xt
Thanks a lot
SOURCE: Canon Digital rebel Wont turn ON
This happened to me today. The lens drive sounded weird - like off gear. Then it froze and wouldn't turn off without taking out the batteries. Then, it would turn on. Now it's ok. What I did was remove the cf card, lens, regular battery, and the little battery that is also in the battery compartment. I let it all sit while I did other things. When I put it all back together it turned on and I had to set the date but everything worked fine.

We ended up sending the camera in to Canon. $200 unless they find something more wrong. Luckily we have my Nikon D80 still. I will say that Canon replied via e-mail fairly quickly and one paid, said 7-10 business days for the repair.

The first thing to check is that the card door and battery door are firmly closed - press on them while the camera is on to see if it powers up. If not, there's probably a blown fuse - it will have to go to the shop.

Change out the CR2016 3V battery. You have to remove the rechargeable battery to get to the CR2016. Refer to the manual for proper instructions.
Had the same issue with a two year old camera. This solved my problem.

A new company has bought Vivitar from Synatx Brillion - Sakar is in the process of uploading the user manuals at this time. However they will not continue to validate any warentees that were before August 2008. Try looking here www.orphancamera.com
