My Sharp LCD TV just quit on me while watching. I now only get a flashing power light and the tv shuts off after restart.

Power and OPC LED lights flashes?Common on Sharp LCD tv.Tv is still useable.Tv have Tuner signal board problems.Every times Power and OPC LED lights flashes.Just push the remote power button again and wait.Sometimes Power and OPC LED light will flashes require push power again wait again Power and OPC will flashes two or three time push power button and wait.Must do this two or three time before the backlight will light up and tv work.

I have a Sharp LCD 46 in.tv do this often.Yes,it is.This problems,the tv Tuner signal board have problem,but the tv is still useable.The POWER and OPC light indications flashes.Just push the power switch again,wait see tv turn,not POWER and OPC flashes again,push the power switch agian and wait.Have to do this like 3 or 4 times sometimes,than the tv backlight will come on,tv will work.Don't know but,if u require to pushing power button more 10 or 12 times,the tv Tuner signal board don't take an turn on the tv backlight get the tv to work.The Tuner signal board is dead,time to replaced the tv Tuner signal board.

Ur Tuner signal board have problems or dead.Ur power LED light indicator stable for a few mins before the power LED light,and the OPC LED light indicators flashes?After the POWER light and OPC light indicators flashes,just push the power button again for the power recycles again.Probally have to pushes the power button 3 or 4 for power light and opc light indicators flashes,the LCD backlght will lght up and work.Sharp tv have this problems alot,very common in Sharp LCD tvs.

9-if the tv is still under the manufactuer warranty i would definitly give them a call. If it is a Sharp tv I would call the 1-87-BESHARP. I would also try unplugging the tv for at least 2-3 minutes and seeing if the tv will reset itself. Usually what happens with these tv's when the light blinks it locks the tv as a security issue. If the unplug does not help it will more than likely need service to get this fixed for you. The call line hours are M-F 7am-7pm S-S 9-5 and they will be glad to help you from there.
