My acer Aspire 5100 notebook just has a totally black screen what can I do

Try outputing to an external monitor.. thats the best way to see if you lcd is burnt out if it does output.. but if it doesn't it mite be you graphic card or driver.. but try that and see wat happens..

Hi,

the Acer Aspire 5100 notebook has a VGA port which you can connect to any VGA monitor which will allow you to see what the laptop is trying to display allowing you to troubleshoot the issue.

I have an acer aspire 5100 with a black screen, won't boot and wont beep also, the fan run the system seems to be running i tried changing the hard drive i tried to clean the ram and place them back again...
if you have power it's not the power supply. It sound like the screen maybe gone on your laptop. Have tried hooking up a monitor to your laptop to see if the screen will come up?
