I have a 1 month old Whirpool washing machine, AWOD 5526, When I went to start the wash on Saturday I had an error code on the display of h23 ? Does anyone know what it means? I rang for service and they are due to send someone out on Friday, but after resetting the washer it works again, so I think I will cancel the callout, but I would like to know what was wrong with it.. Thank you
Sorry, I should have said that I have read the manual, and there are no listed error codes h23Sorry, I should have said that I have read the manual, and there are no listed error codes h23

i would guess you are getting a "tE" error code. that is a bad thermistor. pretty common. and it starts out as an intermittent error. it really is an easy fix. great online videos. check out appliancepartspros.com for both video and parts or repairclinic.com for video and parts. or youtube.com
f7=short circuit failure,ie =any number of small problems .But in this case I suspect a water flow problem, has the machine been moved and replaced ,,what im saying is the main water supply getting to the machine is a likely cause to show a f7 code,if not look at the water in as this is the likely problem.,Adrian....

Does your Hoover or Candy washing machine stops before .... I have a question: My Hoover displays the error code E08. what can I do to fix it?
Try and see if the bearings can be washed and the dirt removed so that it moves freely. However if the drum is wobbling then the bearings have to be changed and if this cost as near to the cost of a new machine , I suggest that you scrap or exchange for scrap value and go for a different make with extended warranty.
Hiya,
i can only surgest a simple check for you with this one & that would start with the plug, open the plug & check all the wires are were they should be if so try a fuse change & hopefully this will solve your problem if not try plugging it into a differnt socket just to be sure theres not a power issue between the socket & plug.
in order to determine what is the cause of your problem , please provide the error codes an model number so we can figure out what is wrong with it, has anyone set anything heavy on top of the machine if is a top load machine, first guess if you have power to the machine would be look into the lid swtich an go from there....
It appears your pump has failed or the inlet strainer needs cleaning in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing. I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information. RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

You said, you tried to use the delayed wash last night but when we went to it this
morning we had error code F70. There is a small possibility that the
door was not closed properly, but we forgot to check. We opened the
door, closed it and restarted it on a non-delayed wash and it started
just fine. The manual for the washer is not very descriptive with the
error codes, it simply says to restart and if that doesn't work call
the repair man (what is this a microsoft windows machine?).
Whirlpool codes: “F” codes other than F20, F21 or F22 Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call for service.
Let me know that it works for you or if you have any questions. Thank You. Please remember to leave a rating Huuum
