Those cameras run on integral film cassettes which contain the film and the battery. If you have a working cassette in your camera and it does not work then it is likely to be a battery problem. In which case you need a new cassette(long discontinued and are quite expensive). If your cassette is fine, then your camera is broken(less than 5% probability, these cameras don't brake on their own). In which case, there is nothing you can do but get a new one on eBay or Amazon. Like I said, these cameras don't just stop working, they are built to last for centuries(i still use Land cameras from 1950'). Do not throw your camera away, though, As it may still have a chance to be used again. The Impossible Project is attempting to make a new integral film cassette for 600 Model Polaroids which will be fresh and of similar quality to discontinued Polaroid 600 film. Should be any day now.

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.

I have i polaroid procam its old i just found it and it takes the picture but then it doesnt come out, can this be fixed?

The battery built into the long-expired film has run flat. The only fix is to insert fresh film, Polaroid don't majke it any more, but The Impossible Project make compatible film with just 8 exposures instead of 10 per pack.

Polaroid slr macro 5 Everything is lit. focus lights work. Fresh battery in film pack (impossible) had problems with battery before, but fixed. Black card does not come out. counter stays at...

OK it's worth asking which Impossible film you're using, as they're selling two kinds. One being old outdated and repackaged Polaroid made film, and one being their new production run film.

If you've purchased the old stock stuff there's a VERY good chance those old batteries in the pack are simply exhaused beyond use and the film pack is therefore useless. I'd personally contact Impossible for support.

I have an old Polaroid Impulse camera I want give to my grandson. I just want the flash to work. Where do I put the batteries? He's only 2, he doesn't need film! Debbie

The batteries for Polaroid 600 series cameras are located inside the film pack. Polaroid discontinued manufacture of their film in 2006, a company called The Impossible Project has began limited production of some of this type of film but it's selling for about $20/10 photos.

Polaroid 600 Camera, won't take a picture.

How old is the film in it?

Polaroid film packs have a battery included (a polarpulse powercell, I think).

If its an old film, the battery can go flat and as far as I'm aware there's no way to get power in to it.

I would take the cartridge out, (effectively not use the last shot), try a new cartridge to see if its working properly, then send the old cartridge back to Polaroid, if you think its faulty.

Stopped taking pictures

How old is the film in camera & when did you put in the film?

Polaroid's battery is built in with the film package.
If the package is old or been in the camera for a long time battery may be low or dead.

Try changing film out.

Good Luck! Hope this helped. Please rate.

Anyway unless you are a collector or it has some sentimental value I would move to one of these new Instant Cameras . These cameras work better and new Polaroid film and Instax film are way better. Twice or more cheaper too.
