I have a ps42p2st with no sound or picture the panel led switch's from red to green but screen stay's black? I also have a ps42psb with seperate tuner that has sound but no picture? i have swapped the power boards with no affect to the faults?

Sounds like main digital board fault. These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. There is some fault with its digital processor board [main board] Contact any experienced service technician. This is not a user repairable one. If
you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you sufferfatal electrical shock!

not a solution but i have a 50gx30b doing something similar, no picture no sound, 3 green leds are lit up on the main board and then one red led lit up also on main board, front panel red led stays on for about 30 -50 seconds and then it all shuts off, I then have to unplug and replug to get the same results.
I had a similar problem with my HANNSLounge 32", the screen switched on with green light but none of the front panel buttons worked (screen is black apart from showing the input source in the top left).
After powering off numerous times I tried starting up with a blank SD card in the reader and the tv cycled between red green and blue screens and then reset itself. (Some sort of firmware restore?) After which point I had a working screen again! (Will have to see how long it lasts for!)
