Sharp mini system error code 20

Look over your player and see if a program is set. Sometimes you can set a program on the CD player to play the first song on cds. Turn program play off. It’s sometimes called delete bank where all song are skipped except first track. Or you can have the repeat button on. Turn that off. There also could be a malfunction with the player. If your still having problems reset the system.

Laser assembly is probably ng and that part of unit needs replacement if it is not a proprietary design. If so, forget it since it will not be cost effective.

Try searching ebay or contact the manufacturer for replacement parts.

Get a CD cleaning kit and follow instructions, if no change the laser pickup assembly will need to be replaced, far cheaper to buy a new player.

it seems tht u have a faulty lazer which is common in these types of stereos try smeering **** over it or eating it if it dnt work u will still feel much beter about yurself

The belt is located within the cd mechanism, so you will have to take apart piece of it to change the belt. My advise is to let a professional do it, cause setting back the mechanism can be tricky if you don't know what your doing. Also, I have found in some of these units, the CD pickup tends to go faulty easily, so be aware.

Buy A CD Lens Cleaner and put it in to the CD Player and keep retrying until the drive plays it and then follow the instructions for the CD Lens Cleaner after its finished try playing a CD if it still wont play try another disc and if it does not play that try reset the player by unplugging it for five seconds if it still wont play the CD drive has failed in the drive and you need a new stereo. Stereos dont last forever so dont be surprised if you need to buy a new one

Since the unit was in storage for a while dust may have settled on the lens.Try cleaning the lens.
