Zanussi aquacycle 1050 not turning on

Hi
my washing machine, zanussi aquacylce 1050 is not turning on.
there is no light when I turn to the program and pull out dial to turn on - nothing happens - any ideas?

    i have bought exactly the same model in used conditions and when i did try to turn it the same happened..no lights no move. did checked all suggestions but no solution yet, any idea?

First try another gadget, a lamp or something on the wall plug, to see if the point is live. Then check your washer plug, could be that the fuse in the plug has blown, check out your washer wire....

I have a zanussi 1600 aquacycle. We had a power cut then the machine wouldn't empty so I emptied it manually and now the door won't lock to start any programmes. Any suggestions??
turm the power off
then press in the two buttons on the left hand side while pressing them turn power back on turn selector to one oclock{if you have buttons to select programs press it } you should see the lights come on and move to different programs this is a test program to take it off test turn to off then turn anti clock wise

I have a Zanussi FLS1183W aquacycle 1050 washing machine. It has stopped spinning and I suspect the carbon brushes. How do I access the motor to examine/replace the brushes?
There is no solid base to this washing machine so if you simply lie the machine on its side you can access the motor from underneath.

Zanussi Aquacycle 1050. My washing machine seemed to stop spinnin
Locate the filter at the botton front right of washer, behind a drop down cover.
Unscrew anti- clockwise to remove and clean.
If still no go, then you need to check the brushes in the motor.
Hope this helps.
