what country, we are USA and no PB here, mostly.
PB is badged up ACER, PC, they simply own the name PB.
so what does reset mean. ally 10.1inches, ok.

pc have vast things to reset why not just say what is wrong first. so in the context of that we can learn gee you need x,y, or z.

PB has horrible support, and worse manuals made.
only thing worse is same company but called Gateway PC.

why not register your PC first then ask them for help.

PB sells to UK, India, and Asia,africa and each has its own models of PC and support. no country stated, so super hard to answer you at all.

faster than what, ? speed is relative term.
you paid $50 new, it runs ANDROID OS. !
and was slow day one, and is still slow
and will be slow forever, you can bank on that.

PB ended sales in USA in year 2000.
so there is no USA support, here.
only where you live is there support.

it came with XP right, 2003 is XP, so is it still
that rotten dirty XP virus magnet? if yes it is doomed. your shop in town will not touch it.

do you understand what a bottle neck is.
in computers there are many. (or bad HDD,sick)
With XP it will always be slow its infected now and will be forever.
basically 2 things slow PC from new.
1: infected (you are)
2: hDD bad, sure it is after 16years. sure it is.
HDD will have bad sectors slowing the OS.
3: not cleaned CCcleaner free.
4: too ,may startup files, in MSconfig
5: and more lots more but XP sealed your fate DOOMed.

Just select the download under the support feature...and select the exact model ..and you will have the product and downloads for it ..drivers and user guide..

Packard Bell is a computer manufacturer, now owned by Acer. Restoring your computer will erase the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Microsoft Windows. This is beneficial if the Packard Bell is showing its age and running extremely slow or has been hit with an incurable virus infection. Before attempting to restore the system, be sure to back up any data you wish to save.

1.Insert the Windows Setup CD/DVD into the computer's optical drive. The disc will have been included with the Packard Bell computer.

2.Restart the computer with the disc inserted. A black screen will appear when the disc is detected, displaying "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." Press any key on the keyboard to launch the Windows installer. The "Install Windows" screen will appear.

3.Click "Next."

4.Select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next."

5.Click "Custom" when asked what type of installation you'd like. The other option is "Upgrade," but in order to restore your Packard Bell system to its factory settings, you must reformat the hard drive.

6.Click "Drive Options" when asked where to install Windows. Select the C: drive and click "Erase." Select the unallocated space after it has been erased, and click "Format." Format the space using the "NTFS" file system.

7.Click "Next" and Windows will begin reinstalling on the Packard Bell's hard drive. The system will reboot when finished and launch into your newly restored Packard Bell.

This is normal. USB 1.0 is a lot slower than USB 2.0...why are you using USB 1.0 on a system that has Vista x64? Is it because of the device? Change the device...

You'll need to replace the motherboard, the computer does not have a separate sound card. Very expensive to fix unless you can do the work yourself.

I would not recommend it, it is very old software..
