No Crema The "arm" (tube) leading to the dispenser for filling the cup broke off. I reinstalled it with slightly longer screws. Now it dispenses properly - no leaks. Since fixing it (two days after it broke) there is no more crema dispensed and the coffee taste different. Did I inadvertently change a setting. Do I need to take something apart and clean it? Before this, the machine has worked flawless for years. I now have put my standby Viena deluxe into operation - taste great! Any help would be appreciated. - JOE

Hi
If your talking about the tube on the brew unit, you are probably missing the spring or if you have the spring its upside down. Again if this is what you are taking about is the check ball at the bottom of the spring(ball in first, small end of the spring on the ball, O-ring, then the manifold)These things are important for creama.

Testimonial: "Thanks for your help - you were on the money! The ball was missing - it must have fallen out when after the "arm" broke and the assemble was inverted."

Water does not drain from dispenser into tub/drum fast enough

pull out the dispenser, check inside where the dispenser goes into,i found in two washers the white circle piece that's inside the cap to detergent, when water would go in the cap would block the fill tube,if you checked the dispenser and water flows through you have something blocking the fill tube, hopefully the washer and dryer are not stacked, you might have to take the top lid off to get at the fill tube or fill hose to clear it.good luck with your washer

How do I get the bleach dispenser to drain?

Hello Denise C - There are several things that could cause the bleach to not dispense into the washer. Are you sure the liquid in the dispenser after the wash is bleach? If it is pure bleach, the solenoid that lets the water into the dispenser is not working. This solenoid is located on the back of the dispenser. It only gets voltage during the dispense time and fills the bleach dispenser with water. The bleach dispenser fills while the washer is filling for the rinse cycle.

When the washer begins to fill for the rinse cycle, the bleach solenoid is energized and water flows into the bleach dispenser cup. When the cup is full the water siphons out and bleach and water flow into the tub.

If the liquid in the bleach dispenser is pure bleach you may need a technician to diagnose and repair the problem. The voltage will have to be tested to the bleach solenoid and a volt meter is required.

If the liquid in the bleach dispenser is water you probably need to clean the dispenser cup. Scum will build up in the siphon tube and stop the liquid from going into the washer tub. The incoming water will dilute the bleach and overflow the dispenser cup and run into the tub.

Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Clean the bottom of the insert and the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Reinstall the insert and put the drawer back inside the washer.

To test the siphon action slowly pour water into the bleach compartment. When the water level goes above the maximum line stop pouring. The water should all drain out. You may also test the fabric softener compartment the same way.

I do hope this information proves to be helpful.

Frigidaire washing machine fabric softner will not dispense out

Hello - There are several things that could cause the fabric softener to not dispense into the washer. Are you sure the liquid in the dispenser after the wash is fabric softener? The incoming water will dilute the softener and overflow the dispenser cup and run into the tub. The instructions for cleaning the dispenser should be located on page 43 of the use and care guide that came with the washer.

If you don't have the use and care guide these instructions will help. Open the dispenser until it stops. In the left rear corner of the dispenser, there is a release that is labeled push. Press down on the push area and you can slide the dispenser drawer out.

Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Clean the bottom of the insert and the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Reinstall the insert and put the drawer back inside the washer.

To test the siphon action slowly pour water into the fabric softener compartment. When the water level goes above the maximum line stop pouring. The water should all drain out.

Hope this information proves to be helpful however if it is ineffective please contact a professional to move forward accurately.

How do I calibrate whirlpool measured water dispenser

Here is a link to the page in the owners manual depicting the process:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/722607/Whirlpool-Refrigerator.html?page=22#manual

Which from the keypad touch the options and lock together for 3 seconds, a "1 cup" will display, get a measuring cup and locate the 8 ounce or 1 cup mark, place the empty cup under the water dispenser, press the water dispense paddle to fill the cup to the 8 ounce or 1 cup mark, (if you accidentally overfill, touch the back/ice type button, empty cup, and start process over), when cup is at the 8oz/1 cup mark stop filling and touch the measured fill button. You can pour out the water from the cup and test to see if water dispenser is calibrated now (should be as this works for my whirlpool refrigerator, if not attempt process again)

Leaves detergent in despencer tray

Most of the time this is a dispenser housing issue. Remove the dispenser tray from washer and make sure it is cleaned very well. In the more serious clogs, you may need to clean the hose from the dispenser to the drum.
  1. Make sure the detergent dispenser drawer is opening. This issue occurs due to jammed soap dispenser. Dispenser Distribution System is located in the top left corner of the washer. The system consists of a motor that turns a cam gear. The Detergent Dispenser Assembly is located under the washer top. Begin by removing the washer top, console and front panel.
  2. Separate the water inlet and window washer tube from the boot. Pull the water inlet tube from the outlet connector of the detergent dispenser. NOTE: When reinstalling the water inlet tube, wet the water inlet gasket on the detergent dispenser with water only. Do not use any other lubricant. Align the tab on the water inlet tube with the indentation on the dispenser connector and slide the tube onto the detergent dispenser assembly.
  3. Remove the screw securing the front of the detergent dispenser assembly to the top front frame member.
  4. Disconnect the vent tube from the detergent dispenser assembly. Remove the screw securing the detergent dispenser assembly to the top left frame member. Slide the assembly back slightly and lift the assembly out.
  5. To remove the detergent dispenser motor assembly, disconnect the cam follower spring and lift the cam follower from the diverter cam and rotate the diverter cam clockwise to access the motor mounting screws. Check for all the connections to the dispenser motor or anything obstructing the dispenser drawer functioning.
  6. Pull the diverter out and clean it, including the shaft, spring, etc.

Hello sir,i have a kenmore series 90 washer & dryer.this specific machine has top dispensing detergent/bleach&softner.when it becomes time for the softner to be dispensed on the re-fill the machine...

PLease check the hose that goes from the INLET VALVE to the dispensing system cup on your washer. This hose probably has a hole or the plastic dispensor is cracked and therefore leaking.
The inlet valve is working and when the time comes the water goes to the dispensing cup, so the system is working it is just the hose, dispensing cup or both.

Water left in fabric dispenser after load

Hi,

The dispensers work by the siphon principle. You load the softener and at the proper time, the machine diverts water to the softener cup raising the level. In the softener cup, there is a tube loosely covered with a cap. When the level in the softener cup is raised high enough, a siphon effect is started and the softener is pulled from the cup into the washer. This will continue until the water quits flowing and air gets under tha cap, breaking the siphon. The amount of water remaining in the cup is dependent on the level of the cap, and the amount of residual water remaining in the dispenser fill tube once the siphon effect is broken. You can see this effect for yourself: take a measuring cup and slowly pour water into the softener cup, raising the level above the max line. When the level gets high enough, the contents of the cup will dispense. You can remove the cover cap that is a part of the dispenser and clean it; it will help. Removing the entire tray and cleaning all of the tubes and the cap assembly will also help. The only other thing that can be done is to change the dispensing supply valve, as it sounds like there may be some leak by after the fabric softener is dispensed. Having residual water isn't really hurting anything. It's only water, and the machine has dispensed the softener! Try the cleaning part first as this usually corrects the issue, and then the repair technician if it still bothers you. For as much as the extnded warranty costs, you should be completely satisfied with your machine.

Replace selenoid and water is still not going to ice maker

Did you pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker and did it dump ? If you did pour water into the icemaker , and it did not dump the cubes , then the icemaker is bad . If it did dump , so you replaced the water valve , then the fill tube directly at the icemaker is frozen with ice . It will need to be removed ( fill tube at icemaker ) and the ice cleared out by hot water . On some models , behind the refrig , 2 screws hold the fill tube in place . Remove the tube , and clear the ice . When reinstalling , have someone guide it from inside the freezer , to where it mounts on the icemaker fill cup .
