My dsc-t70 had diet coke spilt on it. it turns on, i can see all saved pictures perfectly, at first the power button and others beside it were bit dodgy - camera would switch off when pressing any of them but that seems to have stoppped.
the only problem is when taking new pictures, the screen isn't totally clear but ok ,however pictures are bad, a lot of light distortion+pictures comes out really light and white sometimes with faint horizontal white lines. also if pointed at any lights eg window picture is blue and terrible. is it ruined?
I'm afraid so.
I understand that you cleaned the lens (externally accessible elements)?
In theory fixing this might be a matter of stripping the camera and cleaning it up (preferably with isopropyl alcohol), but this is fairly fiddly and it's easy to make things worse.
In any case, liquid spillage onto any camera might cause unpredictable effects. I noticed that coke spill is often not as bad as water as coke doesn't corrode the tracks on logic boards as rapidly and instead turns into "sticky goo". However, due to its stickiness it often causes various mechanical issues. Light distortion could be caused by the shutter stuck on open. Well, in any case, unless you are happy to tinker with your camera and completely strip and clean it, I can only suggest ebaying it for parts. Even broken t70s still fetch good prices.
Good luck,
Raf
