Unfortunately, Blackberry phones do not support a USB headset, even though both can connect to your laptop. You would have to use either a bluetooth or wired headset plugged directly into the Blackberry itself.

gprs is only talk. If your looking for data and the internet. You need at the least Edge, or EDGE. And to open the browser, click on the little globe icon.
It has been affected by virus, use the USB cord, connect it to the laptop and format it, That is go to the menu bar clig on my computer then right clig and format.
Make sure there are no other bluetooth devices interfering with the
connectivity between headset and phone. Remove the Plantronics headset
from the phone menu, if
it's showing up. If possible, remove and re-attach the battery of the
phone. Power off the headset. Pair the headset to the phone
again and you should be okay.
You might want to clean the contacts on your charger and BB for proper contact during charging.
Afterwards, connect to your charger, if you are charging it on a PC ensure you connect your charger to a USB at the rear of your PC. Your BB will try to power on itself once it has enough power to. Otherwise power it on after about an hour.
I have the same problem with my Blackberry 8120, died this morning, will not switch on, no red light, no charging light, completely dead... my computer does not recognise the blackberry at all so cant install any new software.. plus I need to recover all the information that is on the handheld... please help if you can....
This could be caused by a software error in which the phone still thinks the bluetooth is still connected and is still being used as a microphone you can try a couple things here: 1. go to your bluetooth device list on your phone and delete the device 2. try to connect and then disconnect the bluetooth device and see if that returns everything back to normal 3. when you are calling or get called select the blackberry menu which is basically the blackberry icon on the keypad and go and find the option activate headset or something close to that which should activate the speaker on phone which you use for your ear.
Lots of battery issues with the Bold. Try taking the battery out, keeping it out and connecting to PC with USB. Do any lights come on? Red light should appear. Put battery in while connected to USB.
Another fix that I found for a friend-leave the battery out of the unit for a day-put it in and plug in power cord or USB. It worked.
