Screen cracked kids were playing the wii and the controller hit the screen and cracked it. is there any way to replace screen only? need advice....

    did you find a replacement screen? We have a Toshiba 65HM167 and guess what? the Wii remote cracked the screen today..Merry Christmas! TV works fine, but we will need to replace the screen(s) as well.

Yes you can replace just the screen. Various retailers sell them online. Do a search online, and if you need instruction on how to replace the screen, you can get a manual usually at this link. Hope this helps. http://www.smshop.org/

possible bad lcd. bad cof or chip on film. refer local service tech or contact mfg for lcd recall. hopefully its not damage from kids playing wii and one of the hand controls slipped out their hand and hit the screen.

If its just the clear outer screen you can, But the lenticular screen layer and Diffuser layer are special items.

I hit the screen with the wii remote. its damaged
It is obvious that the screen is cracked and must be replaced. There are a few problems in doing that. First, it is NEVER covered b warranty. Second, the LCD panel likely cost at least double the price you paid for the TV, if it is even available. Many are not available. Time to shop for another set. Sorry; John

Dropped and screen looks cracked in side
Unfortantely, It is cracked inside. The set may have been damaged in shipping, or if you have kids, playing the Wii got a little out of control. There is a thin layer of glass infront of the LCD to difuse the image to get a smooth image; and the glass lens is bonded to the LCD panel. Unfortantely, the only people who can repair that is an authorized service center or Samsung.

You should try to reset the game data by hitting home and rest while playing your game, if that doesnt work go to Wii main menu, THEN hit reset button on the Wii system. And that should do mthe trick it worked for my family!
