Ive checked the fuel, from what I could tell there is no water in the tank, It was working fine untill about 3 hours ago. The unit is brand new, less than a month old.
I ran the manuel cleaning cycle a few times, but still keep getting the EE2 error. The light starts blinking slow, then the post purge comes on and it throws the error.
Is this possibly a board problem?
Tim,
I have been working on Toyo's for 14 years now. During this time I have never seen a flame rod that was bad except ones that people have broken themselves. The rod is just a piece of heavy wire that is insulated against the pot. It is almost impossible to mess it up. Now, that being said, you can have a problem with the flame rod being dirty or sooted. Since your stove is so new I would look at the fuel system. If it is clean I would go after the burner mat. There have been mats lately on new stoves that have caused them to soot up. When this happens the flame rod gets covered with soot and gives the EE2 message. A new stove that has a burner mat problem would be covered by the warranty. Bad fuel that causes a problem will not be covered. The other thing that is not covered is a stove that has had an iced up the exhaust pipe. A good dealer should be able to help you get the stove going and explain the warranty.

Chilly,
It is unlikely the fuel pump is your problem. You did say the stove works once in a while. If the pump is the problem it will never work. The main board is another bullet proof system and probably not the problem. I would go after the fuel system. Clean filter, enough fuel, clean filter on stove and a tank that is high enough to provide the proper head (bottom of tank 16" above the floor your stove is on). If you want to prove the fuel pump, remove the copper line at the burner pot and put something under the line. Try to start the stove. Once the Med or Low light comes on you should have some fuel dripping out the line. If there is not fuel dripping and you have a thumping noise, you have a fuel system problem. No fuel and no thumping you have a fuel pump or circuit board problem.

Yeah, it was under warentee, but I had to fight with the guy to repair it. Ill never do buisnes with this local company again.
Turned out like most of the post it was the flame rod. And he said the carborator was full of trash already, but I dont see how that is possible. The filter on the tank and the screen in the pump were spotless. Probably just blowing smoke, to make me think he did more than he had to do.
Also he said if the unit wasnt completely level it could cause problems as well, he said not to go by the plumb bob on the side, but to instead use a bubble level and make sure it was square all the way around.
Hope this helps anyone else that may be having issues with their heaters.

my laser 56 has same problem ... and flame rod was replaced ... how can i check to see if the problem is the pump rf if its the circuit board ... ? brrr cold ......the stove works intermittently .... but only on manual and only occasionally ....Chilly...
same problem laser 56 , altho when flame rod was replaced ,, stove burned better but shut off... ee2 . and pump is def not pumping ... is it a pump or board problem /?
lea ...the stove was bought second hand ,,, so no warranty ... the flame rod was replaced as the ceramic was cracked...the burner mat was replaced as the legs were somehow bent. my experienced service man said altho the tank was NOT 16 in above ..i should still have good oil run , esp as the tank is full (100 gal tank). when the copperline @ the burner pot was removed and stove turned on , no fuel was seen coming out ..so we are thinking a bad connection ( as the stove does work intermittently ///// and if this is not the soln ,, then it must be the circuit board perhaps ,, All of your suggestions were right on the $$.,... i do wish your in my back yard ....thanks tim leo and tom!!
