I don't know if you've already done this, but this sounds to me like a software issue on the IPOD. I also have one of these, and have had to do the following at least once due to lock up problems. Connect the IPOD to your computer, make SURE all the music you have on the IPOD is on your computer (because your IPOD is about to be wiped clean). Then, in ITUNES under your IPOD (whatever you named it) on the main screen should be a RESTORE function. Click on that, and follow the directions - this will wipe your IPOD clean, and restore all factory software and settings. Reload your music, and try it then - this usually works for me! :)
Good luck wit the IPOD! :)
move the hold switch to on, then back to off...then hold down the play and menu buttons at the same time for 5-10 seconds. this should restart everything. Good Luck!
Have you tried to reset the iPod? The first reset to try is a "soft" one where you just turn the hold switch on and off. If that does nothing, hold down the play and centre buttons together for about 10 seconds. More info is here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/nano/
try reseting it. then resyncing your ipod. to reset it, simply push the middle button down, and the menu button at the same time. a few seconds later and the ipod should reset. then sync the song that had the problem onto the ipod and see if it works. (no point in syncing all your songs becuase if reseting it doesnt work you wasted alot of time syncing songs for nothing)
Try restoring the ipod, this will erase all music from your ipod so make sure its backed up. it erases all of your ipods software and reinstalls it this will almost definitly fix your problem. if it doesnt, than the problem may be mechanical
contact me if my solutions doesnt work as hoped, or for further help.
yes it does
I have an older iPod Mini that has a Hold switch. Does your Nano have one?
