Turn the machine off and wait 5 minutes then turn back on it is possible that the machine engine firmware has locked up. Try this if not goto the hp website and you should be able to download firmware for that machine which updates via USB.

Give this a try and I hope it helps you
Thanks J

Printer error (orange or blinking light)

Printererror (orange or blinking light) After your printer has completed its initial startup you shouldhave a solid green light. If the light indicator is blinking or orange oftenthis is an indication of a printer error. For example, this could indicate a paperjam, issue with the ink or toner cartridge, or other serious error. Because there is no standard to what a blinking light or orangelight means if you're getting either of these we suggest referring to theprinter documentation for troubleshooting steps or methods of determining whatthe status indicator is reporting.

Fail to initializing

The fail to initialize is typically a problem with the document scanner...but not always. here is a quick test you can try. Turn the unit off then power it on again. Slightly lift the copy lid as the unit goes through warm up mode...pay attention to the light color emitting form the scammer. it starts to blink red, then changes to a bright white IF the scanner is working properly. IF the scanner is NOT working properly the scanner stays RED during the warm up.

2 red lights are blinking!!!!!

is both the light blink the same time or blink alternate ? if blink the same time, it's probably a fatal error..
if blink alternately then the waste ink counter need to be reset and the waste ink pad need to be replaced.

What is the green light that blinks on the left side of the printer just below the usb port?

Heartbeat LED
The heartbeat LED indicates that the formatter is functioning correctly. while the printer is initializing after you turn it on, the LED blinks rapidly, and then turns off. When the printer has finished the
initialization sequence, the heartbeat LED pulses on and off.

Epson 2200 ink replacement light stays on

I had the same problem with the light black and light magenta as well. It took trying only one new cartridge with the light magenta before it worked.
The light black took 4 new cartridges before it worked. I had called the Epson support center on this problem and after going through suggestions they made that did not work, I told the guy I had another new cartridge on hand. He said to go ahead and try it. This time the printer worked. He took my name and address and said the other cartridges were faulty. Epson is sending me new replacement cartridges at no charge.

 1. Turn off the printer power and unplug the power cord from the wall. Disconnect the computer interface cable at the back of the printer.
 2. After one minute reattach the power plug to the wall, but don’t reattach the computer cable.
 3. Hold down the ROLL and the PAPER ADVANCE buttons simultaneously.
 4. Turn the printer on. after 2 blinks, all the ink lights come on, then release the buttons being held down.
 5. Press and hold the ROLL button for 10 seconds.
 6. Release the ROLL button and the printer will initialize, which resets the Waste Ink Pad Counter.
 7. Once initialization is complete, turn the printer power off.
 8. Reconnect the interface cable.
