Picture seems to be the wrong size; it extends on all 4 sides past the edge of the screen. It is larger than the screen: I'd like to know how to adjust the size of the picture so it fits the screen size

    there isn't a red or menu button on this remote

Press menu or red button ( NOT STANDBY ) find pic format( aspect ) and change screen size to match tv

Where is the input/source button
The TV/Video button at the bottom left of the Toshiba CT-859 remote toggles between the TV and external video sources. This button is below the Reset button. The CT-859 remote works for several Toshiba TVs, including the 19A24. The manual for this TV describes the remote buttons on page 6. The manual is available online at Sears Parts Direct here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/user-manuals/19A24-Toshiba-COLOR+TELEVISION-manual . CT-F683 TV fault
Press setup on your foxtel remote, go to systems settings, and look for "TV Type" menu, you can change settings there, your TV is a 4.3 (square) not widescreen. Its not a telly problem your just giving it the wrong signal.

Hi there
Check your DVD or Video player manual for regional setting, you may simply be set to the wrong region. Some players have a regional button on the remote control.

Regional settings allow DVD's or Videos to be played on the same player by simply selecting the correct regional setting.

If you are on the wrong regional setting, your picture will most likely appear in black and white.

Toshiba air conditioning unit not working RAS-13UKH-G I've switched off the internal power supply to hopefully reset the ac but whenever I switch it back on the operation green light starts blinking and if I turn the ac on with the remote, the yellow timer light also starts blinking.
