Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Try turning the camera on and off, as well as removing the battery and placing it back in. It could also be that the camera itself is faulty. Try checking the user manual for a solution that might be relevant to you:

It doesnt turn on

It is possible that the battery is completely dead, in which case you'd have to replace it. If you have a spare battery, try that. If it is under warranty, send it in. If not, I'd try getting a cheap replacement battery on eBay (or charging the original battery if you haven't tried that). If you have a power adapter that plugs into the camera, try that as well.

My Panasonic DMC-FX30 is less than a year old and is failing. It won't take a picture, constantly requests to turn the off and back on, and now pretty much freezes up on the screen and won't react to any...

There could be a few things. One thing is for sure though. If it is less then a year old. Don't waste another second. Have it sent into the manufacturer to be repaired under warranty.

Perrier (Mineral Water) + DMC-FX30 = No Work.

Wet and camera do not mix - wet onto the circuit board will cause a short and blow stuff. There is nothing to repair- cameras like other small electronics are machine made in a single piece. You can ask Panasonic via the support site - but I fear it is new camera time.
