There is no sound when i use the camcorder - Olympus FE-210 Digital Camera

Try playing any other recorded disc in the Camcorder to check you're able to hear sound from it.

Next, press and hold the Reset button on the Camcorder for 30 seconds then turn it off then back ON.

Then, try playing the disc in the Camcorder.

The sound is muted unless a video signal is detected on this TV. The only work around would be to connect the camcorder or some other active video to tha input but using the IPOD for the audio.

First, you need to be using firewire. make sure you install the drivers for your camcorder. you will see there is another sound card from the JVC camcorder in your computer. check if your computer is using the sound from the camcorder or the sound card from the computer when it is recording.

Are you playing the video back through the camcorders utility ? Sometimes by clicking on the file through windows explorer you will get the picture but no sound, this happens for the Sony camcorder but is fixed by running the playback through the motion picture browser application supplied with the camcorder.

Camcorder CCD-TRV138 has no sound problem in playback. There can be 02 reasons, One is the defective speaker bultin camcorder or 2nd is defective IC801, (Audio-Video Processor AN12985A-VB). In both cases you sould go to nearest Sony service shop to fix this problem.

The camcorder sound can be set to one of ten levels, with 0 being no sound at all.

Turn the camcorder on and let it boot up. Press the Mode button. Move the cursor to the bottom icon, the "hammer and screwdriver." Press the Menu button to select this icon. Now use the down arrow button to scroll down to "Volume." Now press the menu key to select this, and you can check/set your volume as you wish.
