I had the same problem, and found that the culprit was that the small filter element. about the size of a dime, that sits arount the nozzle activator (pin that depresses the clean water nozzel) was clogged with "gunk", and prevented cleaning solution from flowing into the unit.. It is easy to remove with a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliars.. rise it under water and reseat in the unit. You shoudl be aboe to perform the whole process in under a minute. This has happend to me several times... and am surprised the filter is not mentioned in the manual.

Bissell bagless 6583 brush won't turn after new belt

Sorry to hear about the difficulty with the brush. If your brush does not turn by hand freely, then your brush needs to be replaced.

Here is a quick link to order a new brush:

Spot Bot leaves mold rings

Hey, the mold ring is showing the carpet is now clean in comparison to the rest of the room.

You may want to have the rest of the carpet cleaned using a BISSELL deep cleaning machine or by calling a professional.

Clean bissell spot bot brush

NONE of these answers apply to the question! The asker referred to the Bissell SPOTBOT, which doesn't have a push handle. I'd like to know how to remove the brush myself. I know how to remove the components but haven't been able to figure out how to remove the mechanism.

My bissell vaccum doesnt work even though i've replaced the belt but when ever i turn it on i get this rubber smell...can anyone tell me

Sounds like the beater brush that the belt controls is frozen in place and needs to be cleaned. Remove the brush and clean any debris that you find on it AND at either end. The end pcs are used to hold the ends of the brush stationary while it spins via the belt. When you get the brush off, spray both end pcs with a bit of WD40 and work by hand until they spin freely. This should solve your problem.

I need an instruction manual or booklet

I could not find a model 12005 but I did find a 1200. You'll find several different manuals for Spot Bots at the link below. There should not be any significant differences among the Spot Bot models.

Spot Bot leaking water from reservoir through brushes

make sure that your collection tank is empty and correctly attached. If it is full, it will shoot water on the spot, but not **** it up several times in the cleaning process leaving a large wet puddle bigger than the original spot.

No spray in hands-free mode.

Hi, I had the same problem ... I tried hot water for 30 minutes with no sucess ... then opened the unit and could see nothing real obvious in the solution hoses ... so took the main hose off the valve from the solution tank ... then plugged in the unit over a towel (be careful) ... and selected clean ... the valve opened and a bunch of fluid flushed through - so I knew the valve was ok. I then blew through the remaining hoses and did seem to get some flow .... and reassembeled the unit ... and filled the tank with vinegar solution ... the manual spray immediately cleared with a bunch of dark flakes ... the regular brush spray worked fine.
