Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher - Lock On Light Stuck!

I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher, Model 15799. The ''Lock On'' light stays lit up and I can't run my dishwasher... when i press and hold buttons I can get the ''Lock On'' button to start blinking but still can't get it to run... I've tried everything, holding the No Heat Dry button for 4 seconds (even 2 minutes!) but still nothing. PLEASE HELP!!!

push the heated/dry button on the dishwasher for 4 seconds and that will unlock the dishwasher. This is just a safety feature that allows you to lock the dishwasher to stop kids from pushing buttons.
If that doesn’t’ work let me know and they will send out a tech to fix it.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher wiring diagram

if unavailable on line, contact mfg's parts and you should be able to order it.
also, they likely do not make the unit. the sears may be able to tell you who made it. that company would be able to get you a diagram. just make some phone calls.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

How do I cancel the 4 hour delay wash on the control pannel. it is a Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 665.1392

Press cancel. If the 4 hour delay is still lit, you have a shorted control panel.

Kenmore ultra wash D/W wont start. can cancel things but wont start no heat light and lock on light alternates.

Well, I could be wrong, but is sounds like a bad control module or control console (keypad).

Kenmore ultra wash dishwasher

Look carefully at your dishwasher keyboard, to see what key is nearest (above or below) the lighted lock symbol. Usually it's the Heated Dry button. Whatever it is, press and hold that key for 5 seconds. That should unlock you dishwasher and you can now use it normally.

Normal wash light blinking, d/w wont start

Wish I could solve this, as I'm having the same problem too. Normal light blinks not matter which wash button is pressed. Cancel light will light, but still NOTHING happens. Same model as yours.

Kenmore dishwasher ultra was quiet guard 3 model 56516012403 control panel will not activate red lights blinking on normal wash and cancel drain. did the hold the heat dry button then the normal wash...

that would be model # 66516012403 correct??
you may have inadvertently set the lock on function..
check this out from your manual...

Lock On
Use the Lock On to prevent unintended use of the dishwasher
between cycles. You can also use the lock feature to prevent
unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle.
When LOCK ON is lit, all buttons are disabled.
NOTE: The dishwasher door can be opened while the controls
are locked. However, the lock must be turned off and the Start/
Resume button pressed to resume the cycle.
To turn on the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. LOCK ON glows.
If you press any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light
flashes 3 times.
NOTE: If the Heated Dry option is selected, the light will
temporarily turn off until Lock On glows.
To turn off the Lock
Press and hold HEATED DRY for 4 seconds. The light turns off.

hope this helps,
best of luck,
ttfn

Kenmore ultra quits working pf and e8 light come on

If your pf light comes on that means that your outdoors fuse needs to be replaced. The same thing happened to me and I bought another dishwasher for the same proble to occur. I don't know if it's to late but the only thing wrong is your fuse is blown. Good luck!!!!!

Kenmore ultra wash quiet guard 3 dishwasher problem

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.

Sorry I don't know the sequence
