Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC

Need driver: Multimedia Audio Controller

The sound doesn't work at all. What is odd, the Legecy sound card is updated with the latest of drivers.

In Device Manager, the yellow "!" is on "other devices" not under 'Sound and Other Audio'

a quick google search found other tech sup sites with an answer from Dell about its machine, does that make it a Intel issue?

Hey Tom, yep, did that. You CAN uninstall it, but when you reboot it WILL find that I need the Multimedia Audio Controller and looks for the CD to install it. I just moved, so I am sure I have the winxp CD in one of the 2 dozen unpacked boxes. I just figured I go to microsoft.com to download a ...WRONG.

I bought this from a local chain of reputable stores here in town. Funny, I normally hate the big box computer companies, but this would have been easier. I just didn't want to bring in the computer because they sit on it for days....self employment bites sometimes.

can you please help me out....i have a lenovo pc and i dont get any sound at all when playing music or watching a movie after i have install windows xp sp2...can you please help me find the drivers?...thank you

Try this:
Right click on the yellow !, uninstall it, and then scan for hardware changes. This may fix your no sound problem.
Please let me know. Also, the make and model of your computer if it dont work.

My sound isent working on reason 3

I can't remember if reason 3 settings are setup like version 4 and 5, but you should find the audio settings under the edit / Preferences menu. In the page drop down box press Audio. Now in the Audio Card driver, select DX Primary Sound Driver. This will use the same driver that windows does. If you see one that says ASIO use that as it is lowest latency. If that doesn't work you may need a better sound card. Reason 3 does not support a lot of generic sound cards. You might also try downloading the latest driver for your sound card, I could help you locate a driver if you give me the model of your PC and / the model of your sound card.

I don't hear any sound from my pc cause but my multimedia audio controller works perfectly.perhabs my multimedia audia controller not support. Please, help me.

You should update your sound driver. Update of Sound Card Driver.

Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager then
Click on Sound, Video and game controller
Right click on sound driver from the list.
Click on Update Driver.
Update Driver Wizard start.
if the problem is still exist.
Replace the sound card or have a local tech take a look at the sound card.
