Can the 2701 HG-B handle 6000-plus Kbps?

According to the setup screen, it can handle DSL link speeds up to 10692kbps (down) and 1036kbps (up)

I can't verify that it works, but... that's what it says

Will a 2 wire dsl router 2701HG-S work with cable modem

No, not the way you want it to. The wan(internet) port on the 2701 is an rj-11 that will only connect to a phone line with DSL service. There is no way to use this as a router with your cable modem. You need a router that has an ethernet (rj45) port as the wan port.

Is the DWL-520 Wireless Adapter compatible with the 2701 HG modem

Hi,
The 802.11b and 802.11g Wi-Fi networking standards are generally compatible. An 802.11b router / access point will work with 802.11g network adapters and vice versa.
There is no such conflict reported with the above devices. But as suggestion use an 802.11g wireless card with the Bell as it would give you better performance

2 wire 2700 hg-b

The 2Wire 2700 is a residential gateway, a modem and router in-one. There is an RJ-11 jack in the back of the gateway and this is where your dsl phone cord plugs in. There are four RJ-45 jacks in the back for connecting devices using ethernet cable. As a router is can operate both wirelessly and wired. For wireless operation you'll need the WEP key which is located on the tag on the bottom of the gateway. It's the number enclosed in brackets, between the two bar codes.
