Where the footpiece joins up with the screen, you'll find a round cover from left to right which just clips in. carefully squeeze the ends and pull away untill released. under the cover you'll find four screws that holds the footpiece and screen together. Good Luck, jus004

Remove stand from monitor

there will be screws on the back which will allow you to remove the stand, then on the back of the monitor their should be 4 screw holes, use these to attach a a flat plate wall bracket to it.
but if you can't remove the stand, then put a clap speaker bracket on the wall & just clap the base of the monitor, as this type of bracket can be adjusted both in & out & up & down.

I need help removing the stand to my ASUS VH197D LED monitor so that i can attach my wall mount.

For the ASUS VH197D LED Monitor, turn it upside down so you are looking into the base of the stand. Squeeze the plastic tabs to unlock the base and pull. This will remove enough of the base to make it wall mounted and you can quickly attach the base if so desired. If you want to permanently remove the base and stand, remove the two screws that are now visible after the base is removed and pry out the plastic stand. This will break it off at the hidden screws. You will be left with a short metal stub that can be folded in.

Not getting any image on my Acer 1913 monitor. It is powered up, I have tried another pin cable and attempted the reset on the front panel. Help!

If the screen flashes on for a second hen turs black, the problem will be more likely in the power supply with bad caps, or inverter circuits are bad, and worst case will be bad lamps. You need to look inside first and tell us what you see, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Mounting an Acer AL2416 to the wall

Hello Poet,

I recently purchased two of the Acer AL2416W to mount onto a monitor stand. I ran into the same problem, it looks as though you have to remove the entire rear of the Monitor to take the factory leg off. I believe I was trying to make it too complex, just gently pry the rear cover off of the hinge this will expose 4 screws remove these and you are all set.

How do I remove the stand?

Looking at the manual

It doesn't appear to accept a standard VESA mount to enable mounting on anything other than the supplied stand.

How to remove the base from the monitor

For monitor or TV bases that have four clips, I found if two people each take two opposite clips, and use thumbs to push in the clips, we can pop the base off fairly easily. It is impossible with one person, since thumb and forefinger can't exert sufficient pressure on the clips.
