Trouble with copy and fax output

are you getting black lined copies while you are trying to send a fax or black lined images are obtained at the receiving end. Is there any problems while copying from platen glass. if it's ok, then check if there is any thing on the stream reading glass (the small sized glass plate meant for ADF) & clean it.

you have a bad CIS or Contact Image Sensor. basically, its your scanner.

hi your cartridge is not installed properly, when the drum is not charging correctly with the specific voltage the image come black, remove the cartridge and reinstall it correctly it resolve the problem

If the problem only happens on copies or sent faxes then no it is not your drum. There is something on your scan glass. My guess is you are getting the line on your copies when you run the original through the document feeder. If you get lines through the document feeder but not on copies made off the glass then it is a dirty scan glass. There is a thin glass strip where the document feeder feeds the original. Usually something like white out that did not dry smears off an original and ends up on this thin strip of glass. Scratch it off with your finger nail and use some glass cleaner to resolve the problem. The scan glass is about 1/2 an inch to an inch wide and will be on the same side of the machine that the copier feeds the originals in on

Your image scanner is bad. Try making a copy....if it comes out black but your incoming faxes are fine then your image scanner is bad. You can also print a report from the machine and it should come out fine.
The image scanner is the part that scans your originals before faxing them out or making a copy. There is a light bar that lights up when scanning. Either that light bar(l.e.d. array) has gone bad or the scanner itself is bad. If this is the case it is probably going to cost more to fix than the machine is worth. You could buy a new machine for what it would cost to fix.

It's gone forever, once your machine received a EOT (end of transmission signal), your fax machine thinks it was received OK and clears it from memory.

Scanner LED array, or lamp is blown. No light - No image.
Cheaper to replace than repair

You might have a job stuck in memory. Message window should say 00%. Try this press Function key press 7 key press monitor key slowly 4 times press * key press 6 key scroll down to ALL JOB CLEAR press SET wait for reboot Good Luck

Lift the document feeder cover, and clean the scanner glass.
