Let it cool down then put it on the charger and see if it boots up.

Ipod classic won't turn on, battery with lighting bolt when plugged in.

You probably need to reset your IPOD. Here are the directions:
1. Unplug the IPOD from the power source.
2. Slide the hold switch or button to HOLD and back again.
3. Then press the MENU and CENTER buttons at same time until the Apple logo appears.
You should be back up and running. If not, try again and remember to make sure you press MENU and CENTER buttons at the SAME time and continue to hold them down as long as it takes for Apple logo to reappear. I once had to hold them for more than a minute before an IPOD touch would reset.

Ipod touch won't stay on

First, there are possibility that your iPod just out of battery, not enough to boot.

You might want to turn on and immediately connects to computer or if possible, to the direct charger.

If it turned on, wait for while and then go iTune and restore.

If not, you can at least locate the local apple store and let them take look at it.

They might ask $ for repair but it shouldn't be so expensive.

you might try resetting your iPod (hold down SELECT+MENU for a few seconds) or restoring your iPod back to factory settings in iTunes just to make sure that it's not some type of software glitch?

hope this helps

How to enable a disable ipod touch

In order to enable your disabled iPod Touch, you'll have to completely reset it. Turn off the iPod Touch and when it turns back on the first thing to appear will be an Apple logo. Connect the iPod Touch to the computer it is paired with when this logo appears. Once it appears in iTunes, choose the "Restore" option and that will update the software and restore the iPod Touch.

Linksys wont connect with my itouch

First we got to figure out what is your ip address of the router by default it's

If not, go to any of your working PC's go to Start>Run: Type in CMD, Command Prompt should come up , type in ipconfig and check out what your Default Gateway is (your router ip)

In browser type in router ip for example:

If asked for password by default: admin (no username)

Once you are logged in go to Wireless and then Wireless Security, you will find your WEP WPA keys or passphrase (write that down).

Troubleshoot Tutorials:

Here are some other tricks to get you connected with your Ipod Touch:

The method with restarting modem/router and turning back on ipod touch didn't work?

Try These:

Turn OFF every single PC, turn off your cable/dsl modem, turn off your router and your Ipod Touch. Got it? Cool!

Now turn on your Modem first wait till it syncs (30-45sec), Turn on your router wait till it syncs with modem (30sec), then turn on your ipod touch!

There is one difference between turning OFF your Ipod Touch and Sleep Mode.
Sleep Mode is when you click on the button on top and Ipod Touch is off, well I wasn't talking about that.
To TURN OFF your Ipod Touch you have to HOLD that button for about 5-7sec and then move the red bar to the right. To turn it back on repeat the step above by holding button for 5-7sec!

To reboot you ipod all you need to do is just turn it off and turn it back on.

If you mean restore your ipod follow these steps

Complete a Regular Restore

  1. Back up your iPod Touch's data to your computer before the restore to prevent losing data. You'll need to reinstall it after the restore process.
  2. Connect to the Internet and install the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website.
  3. Make sure your iPod Touch is connected to your computer.
  4. Pick "iPod Touch" in the Source pane of the iTunes program.
  5. Click on the Summary tab.
  6. Choose "Check for Update."
  7. Select "Restore" and follow the instructions to finish restoring your iPod Touch.
Complete an Advanced Restore
  1. If following the steps in the previous section did not work, follow these steps to perform an advanced restore. Turn off the power on the iPod Touch.
  2. Plug the iPod Touch into your computer.
  3. Power on the iPod Touch.
  4. Press the "Home" and "Sleep/Wake" buttons together for 5 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
  5. Release the "Sleep/Wake" button but continue holding down the "Home" button. The iPod Touch should reboot, and iTunes will notice the iPod Touch in recovery mode.
  6. Return to the above section and follow those steps to restore your iPod Touch.

Spilt wine on my ipod touch. turned it of noe will

Take battery out and let it sit for 2-3 days. Then, try to charge the phone. If the phone/battery gets hots, unplug it from the charger. Wait a few hours and try again. You might just get lucky with this one. Most of the time, your phone is done, but sometimes you can get lucky.
