My colors are not matching up. On certain games and shows, I can actually see the red is sitting lower than the other two colors. I have a 65" model ws-65809 12o volts, 60 hz, 280 watts, manufactured in 2001. How do I fix this?
If red or blue will not adjust in some direction--you have a Convergence circuit problem---
This model (WS-65809) uses two of the STK-392-570 Convergence IC's---
Green
for a good reason is not adjustable in the customer mode---it is only
adjusted for the Geometry or straightness of the picture and then red
and blue are adjusted to it.
If you are able to do this repair
yourself you can save the set and a lot of money---most shops charge
300-400 for this type of repair in this set.
You can buy both
chips for about 14 dollars on Ebay- and I have step by step---start to
finish instructions for this repair in this set--they tell also
everything you will need to do and what you need.
If you want the instructions let me know---I am not allowed to post MY email here.....but you.....
Not everyone can do this repair---Let me know if you have any questions or need advice----
If
you get someone else to do the repair make sure BOTH chips get replaced
or the set will have the same problem again in a few months.

Could you post the step by step instructions on replacing the single convergence chip on the Mitsubishi WS-65511?
