2,178,0 appears when trying to make a copy.
Try this
1.Open the CanoScan Toolbox.
2.Click the Save option.
3.Put a check in the box that states "Display the Scanner Driver".
4.Click Scan.
5.Click the Advanced Mode tab.
6.Make sure Select Source is set to "Platen".
7.Click the Preview button at the top left.
If the error still occurs, then most likely it will be a service issue.
One thing to check...see if the inside lamp illuminates when you turn the scanner
on using the power button at the back left side of the scanner. If you
get no light, then as mentioned before, then it will most likely be a
service error.
