Toshiba Satellite m35x-s329 notebook, wireless antena

Hi I ,have Toshiba Satellite m35x-s329 notebook and I want to use the wireless antenna that it has. I turned on from the switch wireless antenna , but nothing happened. My question is :
Is there at all any Wi-Fi built-in as they said when I bought the notebook 2 years ago or I have to go and buy PC Card for Wi-Fi . And if there is - how to turn it ON. I tried with Fn+F8, but nothing happened again. At the same time I checked the Services and the service is running.

I have an identical toshiba satelite m35x-s329 that runs the wireless fine. However, this laptop does not show a wireless connection. I have the wireless switch turned on; nothing with Fn8; under control panel there is no "wireless link" icon only the "wireless setup" icon. After going through the setup it looks like it should work but nothing! If I try to setup again it asks if I want to add a device to the "properly named" wireless network.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Frank

You probably know this already, but... There is a small switch in the front edge panel, next to the head phone and mic plugs. This is a manual wireless cutoff. Make sure it's in the on position.
Flip it back and forth a few times ending in the on positon. There is also an orange led that should be lit (the one closest to the switch) when it's working.
If the led is lit, and still no connection, then you likely have have a problem with the antenna or the network module itself.

You could try downloading and reinstalling the software for the wireless module. Toshiba.com/support

The module is accessed from one of the panels in the bottom of the unit. The antenna is more difficult, mounted in back of the screen.

could be due to neighbours using WI Fi and interferring with your Wi- FI . Log into Wireless router and change the channel number from auto to the lowest channel number available plus 3 so it is different to all the people who use the auto channel mode.

How do I recover my administrator password?

Hi, man. Don’t worry, there are many people forget their admin password or lost it, and there is a popular solution for those who have been locked out by computer. For this solution, what you need is a second computer that can connect to Internet and then freely download Windows Password Recovery 6.0 at http://www.recoverlostpassword.com/products/windowspasswordrecoery.html With it, you can create a reset CD which can be used to reset Windows admin password without erasing anything.

It has a password on the bios

This is a feature to protect the owner of the laptop, if it has been stolen, and the thief tries to use it.

Find your original sales-receipt, and contact Toshiba, to show them that you are the owner, and they will assist you.

SATELLITE M35X-S329 sartup problem and freezes

I worked on one of these a few months back, it about drove me the nuthouse!!!!!!! after some long hours of going over every chip and connection in that laptop, and by now a couple more gray hairs, I started my search for help. It turns out there was a class action law suit for this product (not sure now on date) but I'm sure of the M35X. There is a issue with stress fractures in the motherboard, along with a couple of bad soldering connections on the board as well. This one I was working on was so strange it even started to boot as I had the HD half way out of the machine and no battery!!! Sounds like you need a new board, sorry! Just make sure if you do, get a good warranty and extend it!
