I changed channel on tv last night and the picture never re-appeared. I tried several channels as well as the dvr player and still no picture. I did have sound on all channels. Turned tv on this morning and is working fine. Can anyone tell me what might be happening and what to do.

Re: Picture black out
Like your computer a tv has the same type of circuits, & sometimes they get glitches, maybe, but i feel you might be starting to have a problem in the 'DMD" board in your tv. Maybe not; unplug tv for 10 min to 24 hrs. I am a mit factory auth tech. good luck,.

If you have it connected to the 'antenna input' on your TV, change the channel up or down, and then back to 3/4 as appropriate. Sometimes the signal from the machine does not match exactly what the TV is looking for, but the TV will figure it out after you change the channel up or down. The AFC (automatic frequency control) will then try to re-tune the channel. If you have it connected using the composite, and r/w audio, then you likely have a problem inside the DVR. tom
The first step here is to isolate the problem. You need to know if it is in your TV or DVR. Unplug your TV from the DVR and connect it directly to the wall outlet. Then connect a TV antenna, or a small thin wire, to the F connector on the back of the TV (this is the threaded connector - where you plug your cable). Try searching for some air channels and see if you get any channels at all, and post back.
The best way is to contact your service provider and ask them to trouble shoot guide you, there should be a way to reset or diagnose the receiver or if you prefer go back to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement, You should still have the manufacturer's warranty, check that as well.
