LG Direct Drive WM-16220FD loud vibration during spin cycle

Hi, I have a LG Direct Drive washing machine WM-16220FD which is now about 18 months old. Recently, during the spin cycle a loud vibration has started from the front left side as you look at it. This noise happens whether the machine is empty or full.

Any ideas what this could be?

Regards,
Nikki

The pump hose is knocking if you can unplug the machine and tilt the machine on its back you can see the hose get a cable tie big one you can cable tie it down that would stop it from moving that's why its knocking if the pump is not on that side then your suspension leg is on its way out meaning you will have to call your local second hand shop to have a look but be for you do have a loo your self save money

Spin cycle isnt spinning. it will spin slowly during rinse but not spin cycle

Are you receiving a "LE" error code on the display? If so, you'll possibly need a Hall sensor or Stator assembly replacement. If you have your units date of purchase, it will possibly fall under the 7 or 10 year warranty on the direct drive assembly which includes hall sensor/stator/ and the rotor.

You can refer to LG for service if you'd like.

Vibration of wash machine

Hi!

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. If there's a loud thumping noise during the spin cycle, the load of clothes has probably gotten unbalanced. Open the lid, redistribute the clothes in the washer, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
