Hi

Did you check the connections in the carriage if there is little amount of ink on the contacts? if not then clean it well with a dump cloth and try to re-install the old printhead it will sure accept it. If not then the other way is to change system date of the printer first and then try again.

Problem printing cyan

It's going to cost you ink but your may get it working again.
- Remove all ink cartridges - Remove the printhead itself - Carefully (avoid splashes!) hold the printhead under running warm water until the water runs fairly clear - In a bowl large enough for the printhead, put about 1-1 1/2" (25-40mm) of household plain or 'sudsy' ammonia - Set the printhead in the ammonia and ignore overnight - Repeat the water cleaning - Shake out as much of the water and you can, then allow it to dry for at least 24 hours - Reinstall printhead in printer I have better results starting with fresh ink cartridges but have had to use a removed one now and then.
This is one of the printers that does not object to frequent use but will clog if allowed to sit too long between operations. If your memory is better than mine, do one of the print tests every couple of days.

My HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-In-One InkJet Printer was jammed with paper. I believe I got it all out and now the display reads" Printhead problem- the following printhead has a problem: magenta/cyan...

There are two possibilities here Joanne, first, it could be a false error message or else second, the Cyan/Magenta print head has gone bad.Try the following:
1. Take the Cyan/Magenta printhead out. Remember, the printhead...not the cartridges.
Clean the copper contacts with a Q Tip, moistened with plain water. Wait till it dries, put the printhead back in.
2. If this does not resolve the issue, unplug the power cord from the back and press and hold the power cord for 30 sec. This will drain all the static charges. Plug it back after a couple of minutes and see if the error message re appears.

Problem with Printhead Path

Something (not sure what) is obstructing the movement of the carriage assembly. Turn off the power and remove the cleaners. Push the carriage assembly out and pull/push the belt to move the carriage assembly until you find the bind. If you've recently changed the belt or carriage assembly, make sure you properly adjusted the carriage height.

Print head failures HP 1050c

the tube system has an air leak causing a dryfire situation. air + printheads = damaged printheads. most users replace the black printhead more often than the colors. the seal where the printhead feed pin fits into the carriage is the end of the tube system. the hole in the seal becomes to large and doesn't properly seal the air out. order the tube system. complete and concise instructions are included in the box for tube replacement. this is considered an end user replaceable part. good luck! please rate this!

Printhead replacement

I don't just change the printheads, go to utilities and recover printheads.
If all printheads are playing up, che3ck the magenta cleaner, if it's over full it can cause all printheads to fail, this info was taken from a page on the HP web page, but ?I can't remeber where.
