Question about QVS NetStar (UPS650A) UPS System
Your PC connection must always come via UPS, and your UPS will always keep charging.
UPS Power cable should be connected to DC, and your PC power cable should be connected to UPS.
And this way your PC will always be safe.

Well when you are using UPS in line with a computer. UPS battery is always charging when computer or UPS load is running on regular power supply. When power interruption occurs the power source will switch to battery and no charging. When the power on regular lines come back it switches again to regular power source and the battery is not again is charging.
Some UPS battery will be charge up if you just plug its cord to wall socket and then turning the button on with no load on the UPS.
Hope this is the answer to your question.

Just plug in the incoming power and let battery charge before connecting the PC loads. You must test the batteries on a regular basis to ensure they will supply the power when you really need it. Do you know if your UPS has a "self test" feature? My office normally goes with GE's UPS systems. www.GEPowerQuality.com
