Only stupids buy cordless phone from Singapore. India uses ETSI DTMF standard for Caller ID which is not supported by any cordless phone sold in Singapore. It is about time you trash your worthless instrument in the dumpster.
Well if the phone has been bought abroad and being used in India you will face this problem. this is because of the format of transmitting the caller id info being different. In USA it is STF and in India it is DTMF. You need a convertor in the phone line which is DTMF to STF. IF you find onw in Delhi pl let me also know.

check page 18 from your user guide (or at "http://phone.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/2a9697eb-f1f9-a434-457a-98ab6de1d9cc.pdf" if you don't have the book), your security code may not be set. good luck!
I too purchased an Uniden phone for India. Everything except the caller ID works fine. The caller ID wont work as the technology used in India is different. Try purchasing a FSK to DTMF converter or a separate caller ID box.
