I have a MOTU 828 MK3 and have had trouble with the display lights not working on one of my units. I tried the unplugging and switching from 120 to 220 and back. Sometimes when I started it up it would come on and quickly go off or not even come on at all. I was using the unit by reading the numbers using a flashlight. One day I noticed the light undulating as if trying to come on and I just rubbed my finger over the light as if to try and coax it to come on. The next time I turned the unit on the light came on and stayed lit for the entire session. The light has only gone out one time since, after many sessions. The time it went out, I just rubbed the top of a finger over the display and it came on the next time the unit was started. I now make a habit of rubbing it every time I turn it on. It has not failed since. Sounds funny as it might just be my karma, but I think it more likely that it works because of a slight static charge that I create with the light rubbing of my finger. Just thought you might like to know. Doc Mason

I have an existing ceiling fan/light unit using the Intertek 3177973 unit. I want to install a second unit for the same light. How do I pair / sync the second remote switch to the existing receiver??

To pair/sync a second remote switch to an existing Intertek 3177973 receiver, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the power to the existing fan/light unit by switching off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse.
  2. Locate the "learn" button on the receiver. It is usually located on the back of the receiver or the control box.
  3. Press and hold the "learn" button on the receiver until the LED light on the receiver starts flashing.
  4. Press the "on" button on the new remote switch for about 5 seconds. The LED light on the new remote switch should start flashing.
  5. Release the "on" button on the new remote switch. The LED light on the new remote switch should stop flashing, and the LED light on the receiver should stop flashing.
  6. Test the new remote switch to make sure it is controlling the fan/light unit properly.
7. Turn on the power to the existing fan/light unit.
It's important to note that these steps are general guidelines, and the specific steps may vary depending on the model of your Intertek 3177973 remote control unit. Consult the manual for the specific steps and precautions before pairing or syncing on your remote control unit.

Samsung TV (model UN40H6203AF) 40" LED. No picture, have sound. Flashlight test can see faint menu screen. Have replaced power supply & main boards to this point. Ideas as to what to do next?

Hi Terry,

If you can see the faint picture in flash light means the power supply and the main board is working. The real culprit is the backlight. Even one bad LED in the backlight will switch off the whole array. To repair this fault the panel has to be opened and the defective LED or LEDs are to be replaced.

This is a complicated, delicate and risky job and must be attempted by an expert only. You may end up damaging the screen permanently if you have not done it before and try to DIY.

Liebert gxt2-10000t230 low batt,bypass light flashing,no output,shutdown after a minute

Test outlet power by switching the unit to manual bypass and breakers off.
If power is supplied OK and the filter board repaired OK then restart the unit starting with the breakers supply to unit, battery confirm the display is on and static bypass led also on then switch back the bypass knob to normal and press the on button to switch the unit to normal.
Give the batteries time to charge 12hours then you can test the unit on backup mode.

Panasonic PTL500U LCD HiDef projector. Unit occasionally powered up briefly, lamp lit, then shut down, standby LED flashed orange/red. Sometimes lamp lit and sometimes not. Technician diagnosed bad ballast...

If you take the back off you might find a couple of bulged electrolytic caps on the power supply board that need change, or just buy a new power supply at www.partstore.com

Phillips Flat TV Model 20pf4121\105 (Flashing green led)

I had exactly the same problem When the TV was switched on all I could see was a flashing green light. After cheching the TV internals and not seeing a problem including the power supply unit which looked and checked normal. Here is what I did to get M TV working again.
Disconnect it from the power supply. Hold down all the buttons simultaneously i.e. the on/off, the volume, the programme, menu buttons, all of them simultaneously and Plug it into the power supply again.
Lo and behold My TV jumped back into life after an absence of about 4 weeks.
Try it yourself exactly as above.

Best of luck.

Sony FD Trinitron WEGA Tv KV32FQ86E two flashing led

The high voltage power supply is going bad on both units.. Pretty soon, it won't power up at all. For a fact.
Don't try to replace the power supplies, TV's are too cheap.

PC totally locked

The flashing power switch and power supply LED on the rear in conjunction with a power failure or surge indicates that there is a defective component; typically the power supply, motherboard, memory, processor or modem. -Disconnect all the power supply leads, drives, and motherboard as well as any USB, firewire and other external devices. -Plug in the 115v power supply cable and look at he LED on the back of the power supply. If it is still flashing the power supply is bad and needs to be replaced. -If it isn?t flashing then unplug the power supply plug in one device, plug in the power cord and watch for the flashing LED again. If it?s flashing you?ve found your culprit, if not move on to the next component and repeat the process until you?ve found it. Don?t forget your plug in cards could also be the problem. Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions. As always please don?t forget to rate this posting.
