I need instructions to reset code and set alarm of MM23062 as low battery light won't go off.

  • victor255 Nov 06, 2009

My AA cell powered security alarm Micromark MM23062 started pipping with the low battery light flashing and no longer would activate when I tried to enter my code. I replaced the two batteries with new ones but this has had no effect. When I enter my code followed by E (for enter) as I would ordinarily, the flashing low battery light continues flashing along with the pipping sound. I need instructions to reset and then set alarm. I have no instruction booklet and Micromark no longer exists.

There is a bit of a cockup re the description

I am assuming that it is a wireless alarm system you are having problems with not a cooler ?

Currently Micromarks support site is down and you cannot retrieve any info

Hello, have you replaced the defective battery? if not do so, the alarm has no "reset" it will remain on until the battery is either fully charged or replaced, I think in your case you need to replace the battery. Just to make myself clear here, the Low Battery Alarm has not reset other than replacing the battery or finding out if the battery charger circuit is working, if the battery is more than 2 years old then you most lkely just have a worn out battery.

LOW / NO BATTERY ALARM
The Low/No battery alarm will activate when the
power level of the battery becomes low. The display
will alternate between "b" (Battery, See figure 8) and
the cabinet temperature, the red alarm light will
become illuminated and the control panel will beep
every five seconds. To stop the audible alarm (beep),
press the "ALARM RESET" button. The red alarm
light will remain on and the display will continue to
flash until a new battery is installed. This same alarm
will activate if there is no battery installed

If the passkey is messed up, there will be a light on the dash that says security, or have a picture of a car with a lock thru it. If there is no light when the key is turned forward, then its NOT a passkey problem.

MY ALARM SYSTEM KEEP BEEPING UNCONTROLABLY..ADEMCO ALARM

Resetting Your Installer Code
1. The installer code (IC) is the code that allows you to access the system programming. If you forget your IC, your alarm company probably won't give it to you. This is because they use the same IC for many installed units and keep it a heavy guarded secret. If your forget your IC code, you're going to have to reset it.

First locate and disconnect the transformer. This is a cube-shaped wall outlet, usually placed around the alarm control panel. Next, shut down the alarm system's power supply. You may have to unplug a battery if you have a secondary power source connected to the alarm system. Once the alarm is powered down, you will reconnect the transformer and the battery in that order.

The rest of resetting comes on the keypad. Within 30 seconds of powering up the alarm, go to your alarm key pad press down the * and # keys simultaneously until you see "20" displayed. At the same time, you should see "Installer Code." Enter your new installer code while the "20" is still on the screen. Your installer code will be four digits. The keypad will beep to acknowledge the new installer code. After the keypad beeps, press *99 to exit the program. To check if you have reset the code successfully, enter your new installer code and press 1 (off). The keypad will beep once if you have successfully changed your installer code. If it doesn't beep, repeat the process.
Resetting Your Master Code
2. The master code is usually only used by the home owner. Other users codes can also be set up, including manager, babysitter, gardener and housekeeper codes. The home owner will use the master code to set up these other codes. The master code is also the code you will use when you come home and need to deactivate the alarm before it goes off.

To reset your master code, type in your installer code, press 8, press 02 and then punch in your new master code. Press 1 to turn off the programming. Your keypad will beep when you successfully reset your master code. You can now activate and deactivate your alarm system as you please.
