Missing file folders

For some reason all my file folders (except the record file) are missing. I have a slight problem with it earlier and did a reformat...deleting all my music files off. How do I get those old folders back on? When I tried to create them and paste the music into them...it kept telling me that there wasn't enough space to do this task.

Since u have done a format on your mp3 player all files will be deleted. so you cant all those folders back. when you try pasting them back to your mp3 player then it says not enough space. first you check if there is any enough space in your mp3 player. after that try transferring few files at a time. this should work out.

APPLICATION HPSU -0004 MISSING FROM LIBRARY

Basically, the HPSU-0004 Error states that one or more DLLs (libraries) needed for the Update utility to run are missing.

The libraries were deleted, or pointers to irrelevant libraries were left in the Registry.

2 Possible Solutions:

The EASY solution:

1. Remove all of your HP (Hewlett Packard) Printer software from your computer and do a fresh install from the CD that came with your printer.

The Hard Solution (only do this if the easy one doesn't work):

1. Download a current version of the FULL drivers+applications (single HUGE file) for your printer;

2. Start running the file downloaded in the previous step, until it offers the option to install the software (other options might be there, such as "read the Readme file");

3. Do NOT click on "Install", but rather simply exit the Installer (cancel, exit, ...) - the reason for step 2. above was to just have the downloaded file extract in an orderly manner all the files that it (and YOU) would use for its (and YOUR) further processings;

4. Locate on on your drive the installation folder created in step 2., and -- under it - the folder "setup\hpupdate" (the whole thing should be located somewhere under the TMP or TEMP folder - just run a Search/Find for it, using your search engine of choice);

5. IF (and only if) you have located the HPUPDATE folder in the previous step (you will, normally), continue:

6. Under Windows Control Panel, start the "Add/Remove Programs" applet, and -- in the list of applications it presents -- look for "HP Update";

7. Remove the HP Update application as you would any other application (the uninstall process might end with some errors for files not found - this is normal in this case, as we already know that some files are either missing, or mistakenly pointed at, as stated earlier in this text);

8. Now go to the setup\hpupdate folder located in step 5. above, and run (double-click on) the only *.msi fie found within it (this will reinstall the version downloaded of the HP Update utility);

9. When Installation (previous step) is completed, run the newly installed HP-Update utility, to find further updates both for itself (you might not have had the most recent version) and for any other HP application that might reside on your drives.

10. This completes the process

Good Luck!

I deleted my audio files directly from the computer. Now that I try to record again, the device says that memory is full, even though I have no files on it. How do I reset it to record again?

To erase a selected file, first press the [ERASE] button. Next, press the [+] (plus) or [-] (minus) button to select "ERASE," and then press the [ERASE] or [OK] button.
To erase all files in a folder, first select the folder and press the [ERASE] button for three seconds or longer. Next, press the [+] (plus) or [-] (minus) button to select "ALL ERASE." Finally, press the [ERASE] or [OK] button.
NOTE:
The recorder should be formatted using only by using the internal FORMAT function found in the recorder's Menu. Formatting using the computer may corrupt system files needed to run the recorder, so computer formatting is not recommended. Individual files can be deleted using the computer with no negative effects.

Bizarre

Try Browsing the folders I Hope your footage is in one of those folders.
To Make It easier Goto Folder options click detail for folder check dates for the shooting time & open those 1st also if the camcorders timer is not set right may look in folders day earlier. Also look for big files Dvd takes lot of space.

Belive you are not being given chance to record or finalize becuse camcorder automaticaly did so. Rarely but it happens when a disk will have errors on it & when it finalzies you can lose info/footage.
Why I still prefer tape.

Remaining recording time VERY short for no apparent reason

check how many different folders you have set up. just because you erase all in one folder, there can be other folders.
Find the manual reset for reformatting the recorder.

Accidental erasing

Check all folders on the recorder. Sometimes dictation inadvertently goes into another folder. Also; if the recorder is disconnected from the computer too soon after the expected amt of time it takes to upload to computer, the files may become lost (in space?) This has happened to my physicians in the past. Must leave the recorder connected to the uploading doc until you are certain files have been uploaded. Best to bring up the Olympus download folder to be certain.
