Go to www.hp.com click on the download support tab, enter your printer model ... Office Jet 6500 ... when you get to the nuts and bolts of it, select your OS and download your driver software. I suggest you save it to the desktop so it will be easy to find.
I just got drivers for my Desk-jet less than 30 minutes ago ... this is the process I used.
Please follow the best option that are given :
1) Check all the cable.
2) Check you cartridge position and install it correctly.
3) Remove the old copy of your driver and try to download latest driver from http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-002&h_lang=en&h_cc=us&h_product=14438&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&cc=usand install it.
4) If cartridge condition or its refill time is over then try to use new cartridge.
Dear, just go to device manager and select hp f4200 than update driver and remember ur driver cd in your drive and than next to proceed driver install successfully........
