Is ATI Rage XL 8MB PCI VGA 3D Video Card

Here is no drivers for windows 7, only for xp.

The xp driver will not work on windows 7.

This means you have to open your wallet, to buy a new or used graphic card.

It probably haves the AGP socket.

You just have to make sure, windows 7 is supported.

PCI is Peripheral connect interface so it could be any of the three but if your adding it, its the ati rage card.more info would help

A rage XL video card with only 8mb or video ram will not go to 1600 x 900 resolution. You will need to upgrade and get a newer video card with more memory to get the resolution. Any video card with 256mb or more of memory will go to the resolution.

Set the monitors to "clone" or duplicate then you will get the icons on both monitors.

Take the tower to any computer store, minus all the cables.
They will assess it, and sell you the correct video-card, and probably install it for free.

Not even by far - that card is an antiquity that can't run even Windows 2000. You need something much better, like

your boards are compatible for ATI RADEON pci-e video adapter. most of AMD boards is cpmpatible for ATI Vcards

The ATI Rage XL 8MB PCI video card is a very old and low power video card.

PCI graphics cards are not as fast as AGP graphics cards so if your motherboard has an AGP slot (it's the slot closest to the CPU and is usually coloured brown) then that would give you better performance.

These days AGP has been superceded by PCI-Express but since your motherboard does not have a PCI-Express slot then the best graphics card for it would be something like this one:

Yes, this video card is extremely weak and it can't even show regular video from the sites. You really need to replace this junk.

Mostly PCI-E now are good vga card, i have a tip for you... there's is a secret between a 512MB & 1GB PCI-E card. With this feature is required a good power supply, like for example I used Power Supply 550watts (original 500watts power supply). This power supply is different from 350watts and 500watts.. Here is a secret buy a 550 watts to boost PCI-E card both 512MB & 1GB. Secretly this performance are based on my own analysis using CPU booster freeware... I'm sure 100% more compatible & perfectly to your motherboard. Just try it at least you have idea where you want to grab PCI-E cards (any Model).
