Which program are you using and do you have enough space for storing your photo slideshow with music? And the DVD disc is better to be blank before you burn the slideshow to your DVD. For burning slideshow with background music onto your dvd, you can check on this article "How to Make Photo Slideshows with Music?"

FIRST OF ALL WHEN BURNING YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THE FOLLOWING: (1) HAVE ENOUGH SPACE ON YOUR HARDDISK, (2) MINIMUM OR NO APPLICATION IS LOADED ON YOUR SYSTEM WHEN BURNING. (3) AT LEAST YOU HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY TO PROCESS YOUR WORK.

CHECK YOUR HARDDISK YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 1GB OF FREE SPACE. IF NOT, ERASE FILES NOT NEEDED ANYMORE TO FREE UP SPACE ON YOUR HARDDISK.

WHEN BURNING, DO NOT LOAD OTHER SOFTWARE THAT CONSUMES MEMORY NEEDED WHEN BURNING.

YOUR COMPUTER HAS A GOOD SPECS... YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT YOUR COMPUTER IS FREE FROM VIRUSES.

Well i think its software rather than hardware, What program are your using and are your songs mp3, or wma. or wav.

Here is what i suggest
1.) download nero from here http://www.phazeddl.com/ just search nero

2.) install it and folly the instructions to get it activated
3.) Use nero vision express
start / all programs / nero / photo and video / nero vision
4.)create a slive show dvd
5.) drag across your photos
6.) drag across your audio
7.) right click on the time line and set your transitions and time etc. basically set it up how you would like it to look
8.) burn it ( nero vision doest that for you automatically)

its user friendly and self explationary and very very very easy to use and is gurantied to work
NB. for better compatibality convert mp3 files to wav file.
to do this open it in nero wave editor and save it as a wav file

:) cheers

USE THE NERO INSTEAD OF ROXIO, ROXIA DOES A PISS POOR JOB AND STALLS AT THE SLIGHTEST DEFECT OR CHANGES IN YOUR MP3's bitrate,, THERE FOR THE PROBLEM THAT IS CASSING IT TO STIC IS ONE OF THE MP3 FILES YOU ARE USING more than likely the lsast one, convert it to a wav file and it should work.. I strongly suggest you download and use nero from the link i provided ..

How can I make slideshows for youtube?

Youtube only accepts video formats like MP4, AVI, FLV, so you have to make a video slideshow.

To make a video slideshow, you can first make a PowerPoint slideshow with your Microsoft PowerPoint, if you are using PowerPoint 2010, you can save your slideshow to wmv video directly, if you are using PowerPoint 2007 or a lower PowerPoint version, you can use a powerpoint to video converter like

Moyea PPT to Video Converter
http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-video/
Leawo PowerPoint to Video
http://www.leawo.com/powerpoint-video-converter/

After the conversion, you can upload the video slideshow to youtube smoothly.
