The fan on my convention Samsung oven is not working

These fans suffer a lot as they get hot, so it is probably the fan has failed. Buy a new fan and replace it as that is easy to do and is a cheap option.

MY OVEN GETS HOT IN CONVENTIONAL MODE BUT DOESN'T IN FAN ASSISTED MODE

If the fan is working o/k, then it is going to be the element that is faulty.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover, it is a round element

The main oven dose not heat up the fan works and

The oven element will have failed due to the fan intermittently working.
You will\ need to replace both the element, and the fan motor, to ensure a satisfactory repair.

I have a Competence B1180, it cuts out after irregular periods of time, although sometimes it may even complete a cooking cycle, if turned off for 10-15min it will re-start, but invariably cuts out again...

Could be caused by either of following;

1. Faulty thermostat.
2. Faulty thermal cut out switch. (controls power to cooling fan).
3. Faulty cooling fan (not fan inside oven).

Test thermostat by setting thermostat to low temperature like 60 oC. If oven gets much hotter then its a faulty thermostat.
To test cooling fan and thermal switch take oven out and remove top or rear panels to expose components.
When oven gets hot the cooling fan should turn on. If it doesn't then check to see if there is a mains voltage present.
If mains current exist but fan is not turnig then replace fan. If mains voltage is not present then its the thermal switch.

Oven not getting hot

The fan oven element needs to be replaced in the Hotpoint 6150 cooker.
Access is by removing the inner rear cover of the oven, there you will see the element.
Replace with a new one.

It is possible the base element is faulty in the top oven of the Hotpoint EW95,
The other possibility is that the high speed grill element is only part working. You need to check both these elements.
If the fan is working o/k in the main oven , but not getting hot, then you need to replace the element.
If it does heat, then it could be a faulty thermostat or possibly selector switch.
Unless you have a good working knowledge of electrics and know how to use a meter, then I would suggest you call some one in.
Plz rate my solution
Thanks.

Neff faulty Fan

Hi.
I would not think that both fan and element are faulty, although it is possible.
if it has a timer make sure that it is on manual and not on auto, as this would stop the oven working.
Other possible fault is faulty main oven selector switch.
Hope this helps. Please do not for get feedback .
Thanks.

Temp display shows 444

If everything on your B1691N0GB oven seems to be working, i.e. all the lights are on and fan comes on in fan oven setting, but there is no heat from fan oven, conventional oven or grill, try turning your oven off at the mains, then turn on again. If the temperature display then shows 444, your oven is locked. To unlock, make sure the central control knob is in the "out" position, then press the fan oven and light buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds or so, until 333 appears on the display. Your oven is now unlocked.
