    Door is stuck and will not open, it is driving me crazy, even called the manufacturers directly and they're about as helpful as a nun when u need to release a bit of sexual tension!! Can any1 help pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssse

    Door is stuck. DVD inside. Will not record or play. I can only record pictures to SD card.

    Same problem just no disc inside. I can hear the gears or something mechanical happening inside but it won't open. Help!!!

I figured it out out of frustration. I used a small flat head screwdriver & gently pryed it open just above the control for turning it on/off. Inside I found that the mini-DVD was shoved in there outside of the mini-DVD sleeve thus causing a perpetual jam. Works OK now as long as my kids don't mess with it!

How to download from Hitachi DZ-MV350A video camera to my computer that uses windows 7. I tried the enclosed dvd but it does not work on windows 7.
Your best bet is to use the drivers from the CD.
To do this on windows 7, you'll need to use compatibility mode.
Browse to the contents of the cd in windows explorer. Right click on the driver installer file, and select "properties".
Select the "compatibility" tab from the properties window, and select "windows xp sp3" from the drop down menu. Also tick the "run as administrator" on the bottom.

I did this with my own hitachi DZ_MV350A and it worked just fine.

Hi, My dvd has got stuck in my hitachi hit19wdvbdvd player the eject button won't work.
unfortunately, if the drive is stuck, the only way to retrieve your disk would be to take the unit apart. Be careful though as this will void any warrenty. Make sure the set is switched off and unplugged before attempting this, be careful as even when switched off, some tvs can still hold a lot of voltage.

Door is stuck
I had the same problem with mine. I contacted Hitachi, and the only solution was to send it to the dealer for repair. I live in Las Vegas and the closest dealer is in Carson, California, so I shipped it. It took about 3 weeks and was quite expensive, but it worked after that. Now I am having the "error code 2881" problem when I try to record with a DVD-RW. According to this website, our camcorder does not support that, it only uses DVR-R or DVR Ram. I am off to the store to buy some, and will let you know if it works.

The door might be stuck. Try "helping" it open manually after pressing the eject button. Otherwise, something is probably broken and you might have to call a repairman.
