Machine stopped working

I used the machine yesterday, and it worked fine. However, I noticed leaking water on the counter. Today, the machine is dead- no LCD, won't turn on and not power.

The outlet is good. This machine is only 3 months old.

Same issue. way too expensive for 10 month life

The Krups XP2070 won't turn on. I plug it in and the LCD does nothing. I haven't had any leaking, etc. The machine is less than a week old. I've checked the power outlet, and other appliances work fine there. It's dead.

Recieved as a wedding pressent June 28th 07, was working just fine and now 10 months later it died. No leaking, or any physical problems except that it just wont turn on.

Machine was plugged in, power okay. I did not use it for a month or so, then when I went to use it, I saw there was no power. Nothing on the screen. The outlet is fine. Warranty is out, it is just over 1 year old.

About 2 years old, normal daily use, mostly coffee, been noticing water on the counter, now yesterday the lcd display was blank and the Krups quit working. Replaced it with a Cuisinart.

I've had the machine for 13 months. Warranty expired last month. It worked fine on daily basis, but then LCD stopped working and it won't turn on. An oily smell seems to be present.

Piece of junk.  Mine is one week old and stopped working.  I purchased it at linens and things going out of business sale.  I am going to try to return it but they said no returns.

    Hi,

Well, after reading each of these threads, it seems Krups has a documented problem on their hands. The XP2070 has some sort of electrical problem after a certain amount of usage. I've owned mine now for just over 2 months and voila...no power. Worked just fine yesterday, and no power today. No electrical spikes or anything weird that would cause it to burn out. Guess I gotta send it back for repair.

I have had this machine for less than a year. This morning I woke up and it was dead. There were no symptoms before its death...just here one minute, gone the next. I will try to return it to Bed Bath and Beyond, but I have little hope that this will work. I can't find any appliance repair shop that will touch it.

same problem and 4 months old.

  • margoth69 Jan 18, 2009

I'm have the same problem...after 14 months, it just won't turn on. This was way too expensive and is way to much part of my morning routine to stop working this way. Any chance Krups will fix or replace after the warrant?

My XP2070 stopped working a few days ago.  No lights, just dead.  I have had this thing for LESS THAN 3 months ... wow!!!  300 buck gone and no coffee in the morning.  Guess that's what happens when you build stuff in China.

I'll call the company and see what they say but anyone who does not have the machine and thinking of buying .......

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK.

One day the machine worked fine. I made a pot of coffee the next day it was completely dead. It's not even a year old. Krups won't honor the warrenty because they say it's out of date. I'm not sure whether to send this in for repair.

This machine is piece of s... I replaced two of them so far and experienced same problem.:

Machine works fine couple days
...than it start dispensing less water into the cup.
...than it stop dispensing water into cup completely and instead all water goes into the tray.
..The pump also starts occasionaly to make interrupted repetative sound.

Did anybody get it fixed?

same problem. Found the source of the problem. I opened up bottom cover and back cover. Bottom of reservoir on coffee maker side has a spout that inserts into orange tubing which carries water under the hot plate and back to finish the cycle by dripping it over the coffee. The spout is broken off into the orange tube and the tube is just hanging there, so the reservoir is simply emptying out onto my countertop. The spout is a molded piece of black plastic that is molded to the reservoir itself, so it seems the entire reservoir & spout, and even the other side's reservoir and more is just one big molded piece of black plastic. I don't know if this has a part number so that I can order it. I haven't been able to find it.

My washer wont do anything!

It could be the lid switch, i had similar problem, changed the switch, helped for a day, changed it again, same...So then i did a diagnostic test. it said that it was the main control board, changed it ($135), didn't help. I noticed that was a little bit of water on the floor under the shifter, changed that, worked for a while, then i noticed that it was wet again. I traced it to worn bearings that the tub spins on which wore the tub seal and made water leak on the shifter electrical connection, Changed the bearing which is the whole transmission and comes with new tub seals. It stopped the leak and has been working for more than a year.

Washing Machine not stopping water flow

in the back of the machine attached to the bowl is a small tube that goes up to the controller in the dash panel. This tube should be straight with no kinks or pinch points. This is pitote tube and conveys pressure to the controller diaphragm that connects to a micro switch that turns the water off and the machine on. As the water rises the air trapped in the tube increases in pressure and pushes on the diaphragm. Sometimes if there is water trapped in the tube it stops working You control the pressure that the diaphragm works at by the water level you select

I have a panasonic NA-168VX2 washing machine which i had put in yesterday and today it is flashing up with error code H43 what should i do?

Thank you for using FixYa. The error code H43 refers to an internal water leak. The leak is obviously only a small one or you would have noticed. A small amount of water on a sensor will bring up the error code. A simple solution is- remove the back of the machine after first un plugging it from the electricity and dry up any water then try again.

I hope this has been of some use and would appreciate your "helpfull post" if it has

Thank you

My DeLonghi Magnifica S ECAM23210 coffee machine is leaking water from the back.

I received the exact same machine for Christmas yesterday and had the exact same problem! I took it back to Williams Sonoma today and exchanged it for another one and I just started it up and have the SAME problem! Water comes out the bottom onto the counter - never even makes it up through the machine. This must be a batch of lemons - I guess I'll call Delonghi tomorrow.

Worked fine yesterday - will not turn on today - kitchen

When you say the machine is dead do you mean you are getting no LED lights at all or do you mean it is not booting up? No power and no post are two different things. With no power you get absolutely nothing at all. With no post you may have some LED lights but nothing comes up on the screen. You said power and power supply tested ok. How are you testing it? I need more info please.

Washing Machine will not fill with water

It sounds like the water solenoid has gone bad or stuck closed OR timer/control knob has bad set of contacts which control the solenoid.

No water coming into machine. Programme not running because the machine is still trying to fill. If I add water the machine does drain. Was cleaned with a good dishwasher cleaner only last week. Nothing to...

Turns out that the dishwasher had a leak in the bottom. No water could be seen leaking out because Bosch machines have a cut-off valve that means if a tray in the bottom of the machine fills up with water, the float valve doesn't allow anymore water into the machine. we worked this out after we tipped the machine slightly, water ran out, when we put it back down and started it the inlet valve worked until the bottom had filled with water again.

New machine for us! However, not a critism of Bosch. We use our machine at least two or three times a day and have done for the last 5 years.
