Cd changer home stereo pioneer system

My stereo system has been sitting for 4 years. I was selling it and went to play some cds and the changer acter as if there were no cds in it at all. It just kept skipping to the next then the next and so on.

On these Pioneer Magazine Changers, the shiny side of the disc must be facing up in the magazine. If the CD is loaded with the printed label facing up, none of the loaded discs will play. The deck will load one disc after another, and will play none of them.

Pioneer cd players have the common problem of losing their laser lens due to the glue that holds it in place going brittle over time. try shaking the player from side to side and upside down to see if you can hear the lens rattling about. if you recover the lens, very carefully slot it back in place and apply a tiny drop of glue (NOT SUPERGLUE) to the outside edge of the lens taking care not to get any on the focus area and leave to dry. all should be well after this. i find UHU GLUE in the yellow tubes do a lasting fix but don't use SUPERGLUE as the fumes will coat the lens.

hope this helps?

Pioneer xv-hdt520 stereo dvd/cd player cant get it to play cd,s works fine on the dvd part of it and all discs are read by the same reader it just tries to start then boots the cd out no matter which...

I would guess this model is over two years old. not sure how much you paid, but target sells a decent surround sound blue ray system for just under 300. i got it. it works great, streams netflix movies an even has an internet radio system in it.

if you dont wanna do that, and have made sure that you have tried brand new cds, another option is to play cds on a cheap cd player hooked into your surround sound. it can go in any input on the back with an adaptor you can buy at radio shack, or many of them have an input in the front.

they used to make a cd lens cleaner, not sure if they still exist. it was a tiny brush hooked onto a cd that you put in and it cleaned up the lens.

bottom line is that it makes little to no sense to me that it would play dvds and not cds. i would assume that they both use the same lens to read the device.

CD Changer in RX330 Lexus 2004 shows error 4

I just fixed my 2005 RX330 CD changer jam, and saved $800-1000. It was easy, if you first spend $6 at:
http://www.carstereohelp.com
Here you will find pics and instructions on how to remove the stereo/changer. Mine was a Pioneer, and the stereo came out in 5 minutes. I could not find instructions how to take it apart, so I experimented a little. The secret was to take the top lid off the changer - 9 little screws, and a piece of black tape. Under the lid, I found my problem - a CD had been inserted too soon (the WAIT sign actually means what it says!), and I just lifted it off the top plate. Under the plate I could see 2 more CDs, in the 6 slot holder, but they seemed to be free and not jammed. So without reassembling the stereo, I plugged it back in. The changer cycled, I hit eject twice to get the other CDs out, and all is well.

CD player (6 disc changer) "locked up"

Take it to the dealership, your G35 should have a 4 year bumper to bumper on it. They'll replace the radio under warranty most likely.

Cd changer

You can use any CD changer that has an FM modulater. You would listen to it by tuning in to a station on your tuner.

The sales person at any place that sells car stereos would be able to show you the right type of changer.

If your radio has a cd changer controller built into it, you need to check with the dealership to find out what the OEM changer would be. But a FM modulator will work with any car stereo.

Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Clarion, Alpine all sell FM modulator CD changers. I would not personally buy any of the cheaper no name brands. The money you save on the cost is not worth the difference in quality. Panasonic is a very good brand for car stereos but not home stereos, but I don't know if they make CD changers. if they do, that would be a good brand.
