Download and install the latest BIOS from Support.dell.com. once the bios upgrade is done, shut down. unplug power, unhook battery. Reattach battery, reattach power, and restart, then press f2 to enter BIOS setup. look at the battery status. if it is not "Operating normally" or "charging", then you likely have a failing battery.

2008 Saturn Sky - after changing the battery both windows don't work

car runs great?, and door locks work, work engine running? (key fact not told)
key on engine running this fails????????????
my guess is RAP fooled you? as it does vast.
the car has RAP, and if using RAP and not knowing how RAP WORKS we fail.
yes doors fail when RAP times out. sure does.(key off engine off)
use door manual levers? manual levers are for safety , to exit any care with engine and battery dead.

both Electric windows doors fail.??? and master driver and switches fail on both doors?
what battery not told we can not guess what hands did.
car main battery LUGS pulled?
the door buttons for windows are dead?
all; door locks fail too , (buttons)
simple it is.
KEY failures are:
just wires and switches , cave man simple.un like 1990 and back.
fuse 29 blown, yes 30 amps

drivers door ground G300- not bad or both doors will fail hard.
all; dead, the problem is in the drivers door
the module windows switch driver
top fail is wires broken there or wires in hinge boot.
or G300 broken or its lug rusty

now RAP ( many folk buy newer car discover RAP)
and are now confused 1990 had no RAP but thit car does

KEYOFF fails normally>
retained accessory power.
what is rap?,well it is this silly delay power thing

engine runningturn on radio.key off,and things still operate for 10 minutes! bingo RAPor until door is opened AND many things GOES DEAD.(after delay)
head lamps by law always work, (and park lamps)

is this confusing?, the windows only work if the RAP relay is closed, ,or
engine running (keyon)
or key off after 10 minute RAP rules,.
I will not read the whole 100 pages in your service manual and detail all things that are RAP. sorry will not.
Duane tells it to techs. best , best video on earth topic RAP

The battery got disconected now windows dont work tried re program checked fuses nothing now what

You need to do a window reset. Its in your owners manual

This is a quote from the workshop manual

Note
? A driver side window will not fully close automatically under following the conditions:
? The battery has been disconnected during vehicle maintenance or for other reasons.
? The power window main switch connector, or driver-side power window motor connector has been
disconnected.
? Carry out the following procedure to resume operation:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Press the driver side power window main switch and fully open the driver side window.
3. Pull up the driver side power window main switch to manual-up position to fully close the driver side window,
and keep holding the switch up at the position for about 2 seconds to complete initial setting.

TWO-STEP DOWN FUNCTION OPERATIVE/NON-OPERATIVE SWITCHING PROCEDURE

Note
? By following the procedure below, the two-step down function is switched to non-operative when it is
operative, and to operative when it is non-operative.

Turn the Ignition on
Within 5 sec
perform the auto open two times
perform the auto close two times

turn the ignition off and within 40 seconds and repeat the above sequence.

Repeat for all the windows.

1801 - Microcode Patch Error

NO PC stated ,wow now that is hard , no? 1984 to 2018 PCs (1000s of types made !)
compaq to 2013 ends.
NO OS stated, windows, yes?, what windows, XP, vista ,what?

seems to me, the BIOS barfs on your Processor.
my guess is you changed mother boards, and used the wrong processor.? (or the reverse)
learn that the BIOS must be able to recognize the processor in the POST process.
(for sure lots of causes other)
does it do that (laptop) with the main battery the huge heavy battery , that is now shorted and dead.?
you post and not even say desk or laptop. wow.
is it a Proliant Server? or Z600 with 2 non matching Xenon processors, gee, must I guess it all?>
why not just post your service tag data.
and say what OS is running, even windows servers.

the HP manuals on your PC clearly state what processor on that exact model and P/N on the service tag.
clear as day.
as will the hp parts surfer.
varies by country too.
see this, if you answer all the questions there, bingo what yours had and what processor options are supported.
on newer PC HP 10 years or less the BIOS update page also lists added processors under"details" there you go.

I have a dv9700 hp notebook and no programs are working. Cd drive isn't recognizing disks, wireless is not picking up networks, its not recognizing lan cables, it says no audio devices are installed,...

posted no less that 3 times (corrected)
what OS? operating system ,windows, and what version please.?
this PC was built for many years, and may OS shipped with it. new. I cant guess that.

take out the battery first? and run on nice clean AC ?
carbon dating shows: 2010 year? not too old and is still supported

if still not slammed , still original, as HP MADE it
the F11 key is the magic key that reloads the unstated OS.
power on, F11,f11, f11, bam , recovery mode.
dig? if this fails then the HDD may be bad.
run he BIOS HDD test yet?
do you have the HP media kit? the install disks.?

It will only work if the HDD is good.
to recover it or reinstall the OS
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-dv9700-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/3632106/troubleshooting

tests, there are many tests. is that what you want?
battery out.
screens are not dead. so we skip black screen tests.
BIOS works, you can hit the ESC key as it tells you
and you can boot to CD (using test CD known to work.
you can boot to any test USB stick , make stick with linux live or windows 7 PE live and boot that, see
the PC works right>?.??? simple easy tests.
if all that works then the HDD has issues.
the means what.? (more tests)
1: HDD bad.
2: HDD OS infected.
3: HDD OS corruption, use F11 to retort it per the guides.

One good these, I have many, too many.
but one good test for HDD is what.
a: run the BIOS HDD test.. fails, bingo bad hdd.
b: F11 fails can be bad hdd but not always.
Fll can fail for someone damaged the HP special partitions on hdd. (or the HDD was replaced before)

c: so use the HP media kit to install the unstated OS?

if that fails, the HDD is bad but to prove that
I convert my install cds to USB stick installs.
CD to ISO , RUFUS (iso) to STICK (ask)
if those install the HDD is ok but the CD drive is bad.
see? there are lots and lots of tests to do.
or its just guessing game...

I also have a LINUX disk with a full blown, HDD test in it to tell me if the hdd is bad. this works best.
but im not going to teach this here and now,
you must ask.

I did a long post due to you asking 3 times
you sound serious.....

but what do you want? all we see are limited symptoms.
you fix it?
or others fix it?
or guessing list.?

Hp 250 GB Pocket Media drive having erratic behaviour under Windows 7 (Motherboard ECS G41chipset), Under windows XP front and back USB ports recognize disk as USB 2.0 device - able to read and...

XP is a dead OS.
100% dead. and not supported now. by MS or HP.
but XP needs SP3, or USB will be bad
XP always had bad USB for years until , all patches were done.
The USB on XP are horrible.
you need good USB so all devices are PnP recognized
and negotiated currents (power) is working
and USB2 currents are weaker than USB 3.
and is key to making any motor driven HDD work right.!!

Dead as a door nail and no more security patches ever again.445635a4-18b0-42a5-a249-084bb91c84b0.jpg
