Two possible reason
1. you have a leak (oily part of the pipes) possible cause, too muh vibration or you use a hard sharp object in removing frozen food or ice and accidentaly pinch the tubes inside the freezer

2. Lost compression(motor compressor) old age or defective due to power flactuation

have it check by the technician

My ge profile refrigerator evaporator fan motor stops while the compressor is running

this is normal as if one compartment is cold enough but not the other compartment the sealed system has a valve in the refrigerant circulation system to channel the refrigerant flow to the compartment that is calling for cooling so that fan will cease operation in the compartment thats cool enough

Motor not running Refrigerator not cooling

There are three possibilities why the compressor motor is not running. #1. The thermostat switch is not closing to turn the motor on. #2. The compressor motor is bad. #3 The defrost timer is engaged, preventing the compressor motor from starting.

Solution for #1: Locate the thermostat switch behind the console in the refrigerator. It is attached to the freezer temperature adjusting knob. If you jump the switch out, the compressor motor should start. If it does, replace this switch.

Solution for #2: get another refrigerator. It is not worth repairing.

Solution for #3: Turn the freezer temperature switch to the coldest setting. Locate the defrost timer in the console on the ceiling of the refrigerator compartment. Look for position labels like "cool control" and "compressor". Jump between these two wires. The compressor should start. If it does, replace this module.

Freezer is working but fridge is not

My friend your Ref need a new blower motor.

Okay, your refrigerator is devided into compartment.
Freezer is your primary compartment where cooling core is located, no need fan to make be cold.
Your refrigerator side is the secondary compartment depandan on a little circlulation fan motor to deliver the cooling through it.
If your fan not woring then your refrigerator won't get cold.
Feel free to email me if you need to know how to replace the fan motor. [email protected]

Kenmore elite 596 73503201 no cooling in top compartment

if the freezer is getting cold the problem is due to the cold air from the freezer not getting into the refrigerator. There are several things that can cause this problem. The coils in the freezer icing up and not defrosting properly is one of the things that can cause the refrigerator not to get cold enough. Another problem is the fan that blows the cold air from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator, not working. When the compressor is running open the refrigerator's door and push the switch that makes the light go out. You should hear the fan blowing the cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator, when this switch is pushed in. If the fan is working then you will need to find what is blocking the air flow. Iced up coils are a common problem. The icing problem can be due to a defective defrost timer or something defective in the defrost circuit. Click here for more information. Check for these problems and let me know what you have found.
