Camera wont turn on after getting wet

Quick an easiest way to isolate the problem whether fuel or spark/compression is with starter fluid (or carb cleaner or flammable brake clean).

To use starter fluid, remove the air filter and set aside. Set throttle low/choke off. Spray a 1 second burst directly into the intake. Leave air filter off and promptly start.

If it fires and runs a few seconds and dies then likely no fuel delivered from carburetor. Remove spark plug, if dry them no fuel delivered from carburetor. Check operation of anti afterfire solenoid, water in carb fuel bowl, other.

If it does not run then either flooded, no spark, or low compression. Remove spark plug. If plug is wet then either too much fuel, no spark, or no compression.

Likely dribbling injectors and/or bad spray patterns.

Many older fuel injected cars can sometimes get themselves into a sort of bad mood where for no apparent reason they fire briefly when the key is turned and then stop and further attempts at starting just wets the spark plugs.

Pulling out the fuel pump fuse and cranking with the throttle wide open will usually restore the engine to health until the next time.
I notice opening the throttle prior to starting does tend to overcome the problem, being careful not to over-rev the cold engine which means very quickly lifting off to a fast idle without actually lifting off altogether.

If it was saltwater then it may have been shorted one or more of the circuit boards out. You can try removing the covers and cleaning the exposed circuit boards with a Q-tip soaked in WD-40 (don't spray on the boards) Cleaning any obvious corrosion will sometimes solve the problem. However, if there is corrosion in the flex connectors then boards may have to be replaced.

First establish fuel pressure at injectors.

After cranking the engine, break open the fuel line at the stainless steel manifold compression joint over the injectors with two wrenches(17mm? ).

Using a shop cloth to stop spray covering everything... you should get fuel comming out under pressure ...allow to stop weeping fuel and clean up any wet fuel.

Close fuel line and crank engine again.

Repeat...if fuel does not spray out pump is not pumping.

I suggest you turn Over it to Service Center...

Next Time if your other camera (no water Resistant) get wet.. Please do not turn it "ON" the Problem will get worst..

First Thing you do.. Take Out the Battery and Try to Dry it up.. Clean Rugs (Cotton) and Blower it with Hair bloower .. (note: you must dry it quickly) Rust will contaminate inside...
if you are not sure of disassemble the parts .. take it to the nearest service center (depend on your brand) quickly.

I would suggest you check de waste filter and pump. Normally, such electric devices have a protection that prevents water getting inside if waste water cannot be cleared.

First I would check the battery, and make sure it is either fully charged, or has new batteries.
If you can get the menus, set all to factory default.
If none works, then it needs repair.

Try blowing the switch out with compressed air moving it from every position. If this fails, replace the switch. Frankster016
